I really enjoyed watching the game. The gym was packed and the fans were loud! Both teams played an excellent game. I thought the Patriots could run away with it in the 2nd when they started bimbing 3's from all area codes but Carter just kept coming at them until Union go cold. Smith had an excellent block on Wilsons attempt to dunk. Just a great game in general. The refs called an excellent game. I havent seen that in a while. Knox Co needs to hire more of those refs. Carter was just a little more athletic than Union. Lester Wilson is unreal. Im excited to see what Union can do next year returning everyone except Muncey. Good season Patriots. Good look Hornets cause its still a long road.

And you think Union Co of all teams get the calls?

I think the location of Chucky Doak is closer to district 1 schools than 2 and it makes the trip a whole lot easier giving them the upper hand on the crowd and possibly the refs as well.

Does anyone know if district 1 is changing as well?

Same for Union as well. They had won the region but it was under Horace Maynard. Both teams are on a roll I cant wait to see how this one is going to turn out. Carter and Union have been the under dogs for the majority of the tourney and now they get to go face to face. So was ACs post men similar to UC's? I heard that Lester Wilson has a good shot at going D1 and that Meady kid is huge. I havent heard much about Meadys play but I heard he is huge! I know this game could go either way but Unions post players are gonna have to show up and get thier hands dirty in the paint. Can Carter shoot the 3 ball other than Stanton?

I know what the Patriots will be up against next year in the new region with Fulton and AE but what about you all in region 1? Are the teams going to be the same or is there a change as well?

I think once again the odds are stacked against the Patriots of Union Co. I dont know much about Carter except I know Lester and Meady are very well big men that can easily change the game. I think for Union to win this one their trio guards need to come out firing on all cylinders. Union needs to have the whole county come out and represent to make a factor in this game. Another thing is Unions Soph big men Cox and Buckner need to get physical with Meady and Lester and if they can get them in foul trouble then its a whole new ball game. Union will play tougher than what Carter will expect. Like we have all seen this season is anybody can be beat. Maybe Union can pull this one out. Union 75 Carter 73

Yeah it looks like they wont ever get the respect they deserve from this region. Union came out and played at a more than neutral site and took down that regions best 2 teams and still get no credit.

Im gonna have to go with Union on this one. Once again the odds are stacked up against them like so many times before. I think if Smith and Vittetoe can get hot and play a little D on the side then this game should go down to the wire. I dont know much about Unicoi but if they play the way they played Tuesday vs Happy Valley then they are very beatable. I think this one will go down to the wire and whoever can stop the guard play will prob end up hosting Carter and the other making a trip to Broadway to play Fulton. Union 69 Unicoi 65

So what are you all predictions on Thursday nights game? I only got to watch the 2nd have of the Unicoi-Happy Valley game but from what I could see I think Union Co has the speed and shooting ability to win this game. It seems like Unicoi is just big while Union Co can shoot over them. I mean hey i've been wrong before. Once again though Unicoi always plays a good game and they always go deep into regions so they know how to handle these types of games. I think Union Co has the end but this game could easily go either way. Home court will be bing in this game. The winner will prob get Carter at home while the loser has to make a trip off Broadway to Fulton. I think the big differences will be if Union can shoot the 3 and play well under the pressure of this game or if Unicoi can play "man ball" on Union's Soph big men. Btw does anybody know the time of the game?
