  1. I still think Richard Melton is a great coach. The only thing I think he could have done differently (Not that it would've made a whole lot of difference), would have been to start Jackson in place of Ramsey. Jackson looked to be a lot more athletic and may have matched up better, IMO. Then again, it's JMO.
  2. Too true! That bolivar team was jst faster and more athletic than Livingston. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. That still doesn't excuse the choke job our guys pulled though. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" I am so disappointed. If our team had played as hard against Bolivar as they did against Tyner, the game woul've been closer. I'm not saying we would've won because it's hard to overcome the athletic talent of Bolivar but they could have at least kept it close down to the buzzer. It just seemed to me that they gave up too early. With five minutes left, they were only down by ten and then they just panicked and began lauching threes every other time they came down the court. It's really frustrating, because I've seen LA play better than they did today. Perhaps it was Bolivar's defense but LA's passes looked lazy and they just did a poor job taking care of the ball. I really don't feel that they brought their A game today and I not sure why. Our window of oppurtunity was slammed shut today by a Bolivar team that came ready to play. Hopefully we can get back next year but it really is too bad for guys like Peterman, Dunn, and West who won't be back. Hope this post doesn't offend other LA fans. I also don't want to take anthing from Bolivar. They got a heck of a team. The better team won. Congrats to Bolivar and good luck the rest of the way.
  3. You shouldn't make fun of this guys name. Afterall he is a famous author. Haven't you read his noble prize winning "Under The Bleachers"?
  4. From what I've seen, LA tends to take whatever the opposing D's give them. If a defense presses, LA trys to out run it for the easy layup. If a defense come down a sets up, LA will do likewise on O. Most likely, Dunn will get an isolation and try to create for someone else. At leat that's what I see. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> LA Fans, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  5. While we're correcting spelling, it's y'all, not ya'll. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> (unless you're trying to say ya will) Sorry for the miscommunication.

  7. Now you see this is where I get confused. On one hand we have the comment like from above as well as this one here: Then we have this: Do you not see the contridiction here?
  8. If you're going to say this, then I can feel safe in saying that LA beat themselves. That your D had absolutely nothing to do with our girls missing wide open layups and that our girls were just having a tough shooting night. Ya know, they just beat themselves. However, I won't say that because I know darn well that the GC defense was causing our girls to rush their shots and ultimately miss them(and yes, we still love our girls too). I just wish you guys would do the same. I have given your team all the credit in the world. If anyone has really read my posts they'd see that I have not once disrespected any team.
  9. I hope so but I doubt it. All they'll wanna talk about is how GC blew out LA by 20 points! They'll fail to remember that we kept it close for 3 and a half qtrs.
  10. Maybe you should practice what you preach about respect. Has it to you occured that some of our girls had off nights as well? I chalk that up you GC's great defense. Yet you set there and give no respect to LA's D? Dontcha think our defense might have had a little somthing to do with Butler having an off night?
  11. I wasn't at the game but I'll admit I was pulling for SC. It wasn't some deep hatred or anything like that. In fact, as hard as you may find it to believe...it was respect. I didn't wanna see those boys again! LOL!
  12. I grew up with Richard Melton and I'm here to tell ya... the guy grew up on basketball. He has ate, breathed and slept basketball since the 4th grade. In fact, while the 4th graders on our team that year sat on the bench just happy to be there, Richard sat next to Coach Dial (another great B-ball coach) and took in everything he was telling the starters. As a player, he was one of if not THE all time leading scorer for LA until this year when Chase Dunn broke his record. So I would say Coach Melton know a thing or three about basketball as well.
  13. It's been a long day and I'm still fighting off this cold. Once again, congrats to GC on their Gold and LA on their Silver. Callin it a night.
  14. It probably won't happen on our end with the schedule we have to play.
  15. As said earlier.... Scary!! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> I just hope we can get another crack at ya next year! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
