  1. So when did he graduate from LMU? Couldn't find anything on LMU website about him. Is he also going to be teaching at Seymour? Heard there is a meeting today at 1 at First Baptist. Bad timing since a lot of the players are working summer jobs and parents are at work. Should have scheduled after work hours or on Saturday.
  2. Any news on a coach. Heard all interviews were over.
  3. Does it really matter, the boys have a 11 seniors this year. They could probably coach the team, but they will need a field and support. Was the position ever posted? Never saw it, if it was.
  4. All kinds of rumors will fly, but think about what the paper said; Sevier county has the fields, admin and athletic director support. That is something Seymour does not have! The only bad thing is Bobby went to the biggest rival and knowing we have to play them.
  5. Was it really more money? Is this not still paid by the Sevier County School System?
  6. True that Bobby will do a good job. But it has left a lot of kids unsure of what will happen with Seymour soccer. I know that Sevier County has more adminstration support than Seymour, maybe the adminstration at Seymour will step up now. Seymour should have both great teams this year. It was just a shock that Bobby would leave and not see the kids he starting coaching as freshman and will be seniors this year. I think that is what has hurt the kids the most. Good luck to Bobby at Sevier County.
  7. Good luck to Seymour next year. Not such a good season this year. Hope they can get some goals going on, defense can only do so much. They are only losing 2 starters, so next year will be a tough season. Don't look like they will go to far next either. Good luck boys.
  8. Must say Alcoa played a game last night. Seymour has to be one of the unluckiest teams when it comes to putting the ball in the goal. Akula have to say Brodas was such a great sport last night. He was the only player off your team to walk over to the bench and shake the hand of the Seymour sweeper who went out with some kind of injury. Not sure if he knows the sweeper personally, but it showed what kinda of person he really is. Good luck tomorrow night.
  9. Seymour has more than one freshman on starting varsity this year. So everyone should show up for this game just to see what Seymour really has this year. I think both teams will come out strong. It will just be who can put the ball in the net. I do think Seymour has the stronger defense. It will be an interesting and exciting game.
  10. I think it will end in a tie. As far as scoring Seymour has more players than Shelton, Lindsey and Scott that can score. So Carter's defense will have a lot to handle. I think Seymour has the better defense. Sweeper(Drain) had knee surgery and still on the injured list. Not sure if he will even return this season. Keeper over the weekend was a freshman, not sure what his name is.
  11. Seymour does have some new faces from JV. I would guess these boys are hard at work in practice and coaches are giving them a chance on varsity. Heard Nathan Drain had knee surgery, but is already off crutches and moving around pretty good.
  12. Not trying to upset anyone. I think everyone is hoping for the best for Nathan. He is a junior and will have his senior year if it comes to worse case. It was just told what the outcome could be. All need to remember him in prayer. He is one on best defensive players on the Seymour team. He is a real leader! Remember last year when he took the red against Carter(Mark Sherrod). I still hear players talk about this play. So guess we will know tomorrow.
  13. Report on #17 Seymour sweeper; Just in that he will see an ortho surgeon on Friday to determine the damage. Depending on MRI he could be out for a short time or 6 weeks. Let's all pray for short time, he is all heart when it comes to soccer. Watched this kid play in the fall. Good luck to Nathan and Seymour while he is recovering.
  14. I think Seymour will come out ready to play this game. Seymour has a really strong defense. They only lost their keeper last year. So the defense will have to keep them away from the goal. It will be a close game.
  15. What juniors in Dist.A/AA?
