Well I will say this and we can agree to disagree. In some areas, support for coaching is higher than others. Example, I know a lot of school who get away with certain things because the principals, community members etc. were coaches or played. Thus, things get thrown under the bus or overlooked, rules get stretched, etc. You can say I'm making excuses, but the playing field is definitely not level. The culture at Dresden, Union City, Lake Co. or any other successful 1A school is different than in other areas. People get kids transferring in from middle school or high school. It's a corrupt system and will never be equal.

I will tell you a few things about Halls, so everyone on this board is informed. 1. Last years seniors had more impact on the team than I think everyone realized. We lost most of our skill guys. Which you can see why they are struggling scoring and defense. 2. Everyone saying it is easy coaching and anyone can come in here and win games. It's not that easy. Yes, we have more students than most in this region, but we struggle getting students to get involved in sports due to many issues. (Parents not being involved, poverty, laziness, etc.) These coaches are working I promise you that. 3. They had a successful season last season but those seniors were great leaders. 4. You all don't understand the situation until you are in it. That's all I will say. No making excuses but others have more to work with that than what this coaching staff has. Give them a year or two and I think they will be ok.

A little bit of both. Threw a lot of bubble screens and slants. Speed on the outside is very good. QB has a lively arm though. Could throw the ball 40+ yards on a dime. He was doing it in warmups. As far as Halls gameplan, we tried throwing a little more and hit a few big plays down field but could not produce any points.

I went to the game last night and just letting you know MASE will be a problem for Trenton and Lake Co. The speed alone was night was different from anything I have seen this year. I watched Halls play both Trenton and Lake Co and I think MASE will will expose both teams just with the athleticism. Now I'm not saying that MASE will beat them but man it will be a game to watch. Being a Halls fan, I'm just telling you have I have observed. Halls gave up against Peabody but they tried last night and just could not do anything with MASE. They are a problem

Heard he is going back to Bolivar but just to teach. I have heard there is some issues with that they were told when they took the job at JCM.

I just heard that head coach Sharia Armour is leaving to go to Dyer county and her daughter is going with her. I wondering who will take her spot?

I am hearing that the new coach for Crockett will be Adam Simpson from Madison Magnet.

Yeah I'm interested to see if Gibson County's press will put Humboldt in a hole early. Humboldt guards struggle with beating Peabody's press Friday night. The two posts for Humboldt are pretty unstoppable if they get it inside though. It will be fun to watch.

I guess I was wrong. Overtime win by Humboldt. Exciting but sloppy game as well.

Halls played them decent in the first half Tuesday night. 18-15 at half got #55 tired and double teamed her the whole half. I think she managed 4 or 6 points that first half. The second half Halls just got tired and Humboldt capitalized winning the game by about 30. The guards didn't do much and that is what hurts them. If they can knock down some shots then it may be a different story. I just don't see them beating Peabody with their athleticism.
