  1. Thank you good sir! I got a bit ahead of myself LOL! I'll go correct that.
  2. That's good to hear about those two boys getting back to health Crow!! I guess what intrigues me most about this game is the fact that this could be a round 1 or 2 playoff game when the time comes!
  3. Couldn't have asked for a better game to start the season out in 2A! Oneida and Rockwood are both very respectable programs. I got a good bit of info on Oneida when they scrimmaged Harriman and have saw Rockwood as well. I'll take Rockwood at home by 7. You heard it here first!! Get ready cause we're less than 10 days away!!!!
  4. Can't believe it's that time but it's here again! The jamboree is at Kingston and high school action begins at 7 PM. The games are as follows. Cumberland County vs Oneida Oliver Springs vs Rockwood Wartburg vs Midway Harriman vs Kingston There are some very good matchups by the looks of it! Let's hear some insight, especially from you out of county teams!
  5. You know, from doing some research over them I think you're right! Harriman has about 2-4 games that are 50/50 games. If they can play defense then they should get back to the playoffs!
  6. Good luck from the Devils Den down in Harriman! You guys have made an excellent football program over the past 5 years or so!
  7. For you boys down south, how will Silverdale Academy be? I have heard bits and pieces that they should be solid but I would like to hear from someone who knows? I think Grace will be a tough out this year and very capable of bringing home the gold, but my gut tells me Goodpasture will be the team to beat! I personally would like to see Grace and Boyd meet back up. I've been to Boyd the past 2 years to watch Rockwood play them and I think they have a respectable program. I can say from the folks I met down there, you guys handle yourselves well for a private school!
  8. You'll probably see a typical Rockwood team. Not a dominant team by any means, but a competitive one. Long will shoulder the load for the Tigers in the backfield and the defense should be tough as well. I think Rockwood should go about 6-4.
  9. If you'll go to your teams schedule on here, at the bottom of the schedule will be a link to look at the previous year. You can go as far back as 2001.
  10. Just doing some random research and I decided I would calculate the home records since 2001 of all the teams in my county, which is Roane County. Below is the records from 2001 to this past season. Kingston: 39-21 Harriman: 25-38 Rockwood: 41-24 Midway: 42-26 Oliver Springs: 34-35 Surprisingly, Midway comes away with the most wins at home. Morgan County: Coalfield: 50-23 I'll update more later. Add some records for your school!
  11. Bryan Powers from Rockwood Middle School was hired by Greenback. He had put together a 45 game winning streak, along with 2 straight state/sectional championships, along with 3 straight trips to the state tournament. Obviously the high school game is alot faster paced than middle school, but I believe Greenback will be pleased with this hire. He knows how to win!
  12. I would expect their wins to be against: Hancock Co., Sunbright, Whitwell, Wartburg, and Meigs Co. Losses I would expect: Rockwood. Grace, Midway, Greenback, Tellico Plains. I feel like the games against Wartburg, Meigs, and TP could go either way but that's just my two cents worth right now
  13. Cominig from someone very close to the situation, consolidation is very much still in consideration considering the budget. The consolidation WILL NOT happen for the 2013-14 academic year, it will take affect for the 2014-15 year if they decide to go that route. It's not out of the question by any means. I will be interested to see how this next commissioner election goes.
  14. John will be fine. No assumption was made at all, except for the fact that he can play.Yes, with his potential he could end up being better than Xavier was. I don't expect him to come up and be an all-state player his freshman year or anything but given his potential and what he's done so far, there's no reason not to think he won't do big things at Harriman!
