Id like to see what regions could look like if we divided all 150 Division 1 teams evenly into 75 teams in AAA and 75 teams in A-AA. Every other sport got this type of distribution by the TSSAA last time they classified except wrestling. Our distribution was based on basketball numbers.

Maryville High School is hosting an individual varsity tournament next season on Saturday January 6th, 2018 and we are looking to add some more teams. Tournament format will be a 16-man bracket with 4 pools of 4 and the top two wrestlers in each pool advancing to place 1st-8th. The tournament will be ran on TrackWrestling with statistics included. We will allow teams to bring non-scoring extras to fill brackets to capacity. We currently have close to 60 wrestlers registered. I have extended the registration until friday evening in hopes of adding more wrestlers. Currently we have from wrestlers raning from 60lb 6th grader to 202lb 11th grader and everything in between. Its not too late to register. We are gonna run 4 mats so it should be an fast pace day.

THE EAGLE CHALLENGE SEYMOUR, TN December 14, 2013 Location: Seymour High School, 732 Boyds Creek Hwy, Seymour, TN 37865 Format: Everyone gets at least 4 matches. 4 Pools of 4 teams, then wrestle at least one match out of pool. Top 4 will wrestle a semifinal and then finals for a total of 5 matches. We run 6 mats and move quickly. In 2011, the bottom 12 teams were done wrestling by 3pm. The finalaround for the top 4 teams was concluded by 4:30pm. Team Awards: Plaques for Top 4 teams. Entry fee : $125 payable to "Seymour Wrestling" *Each Team needs to supply 1 table worker for each Dual. Admission: $ 8.00 adults, $ 4.00 students per day. Under 5yrs old free. There will be wrestler friendly concessions no large coolers. Early Weigh-in 7:00am for ACT takers. If you have any, have them sign-up to take it at King’s Academy across the street. Weigh-in 8:00-9:00am. Wrestling begins at 9:30am. Coaches Meeting: following weigh-ins We will make copies of each teams weigh-in sheet, staple them together, and hand out a packet to each team.
