  3. 8U/10U Tournament…Waiting list soon, but Need 10U-A Teams The Georgia Battle Cats – 99 are please at the overall turn out for our “Knock the Rust Off Open” softball tournament (aka: KTROF Open), and want to thank all those who have signed up and friends who have just wished us well in this work. We are excited and are going to strive to make this a pleasant/fun softball event for all of you. For now, we can take: - one more team in the 8U and - one more team in 10U-B …after that we will have to start adding teams to a waiting list. This is to leave a bit of room for any late signing 10U-A teams that may want to play. We are hoping to see our 10U-A friends there for the KTROF Open, and want that division to make. However, if the 10U-A division does not make, we will expand 8U and 10U-B divisions and if possible, accommodate those may be on the waiting list at that point. Check out the site and see who has already signed up, and do not miss your chance… The KTROF Open Quick Facts: ************* Age Groups: 8U and 10U Mixed Class for 8U A and B Class for 10U Date: August 28 - 30, 2009 Place: Lion's Club Park 5500 Rockbridge Circle NW Lilburn, Georgia 30047 Minimum Games Guaranteed: 4 Two pool seed with double elimination Cost: 8U: $175 and 10U: $250 We provide the game balls! ***************** See Tournament page for details on some of our plans… http://www.eteamz.com/GeorgiaBattleCats ... cat=555426 -coach jimbo Email: georgiabattlecats99@gmail.com Phone: 404-580-8947 http://www.eteamz.com/fastpitch/tournam ... m/1481790/
  4. There are four days and one more slot available for a team to save $50 in registration! Do not miss out! The deal is great without the discount, but with the discount it is ... well GREATER! 8Us are almost FULL! FORMAT: Four game guarantee, two pool seeding, and then double. What a format! If you are an 8U or 10U start your fall off strong with a real test! If you miss the $50 savings slot and still want to play, do not wait for the last minute to signup because if a team drops out, you are number nine, AND you are committed before July 31, you will get the discount extended to you (and so on down the line…) So, do not miss out twice and sign-up this week. The full final deadline for signups to get in the tournament is August 14. I will take teams on a waiting list only after that until August 21. Brackets will be published on August 26. See our website for details: http://www.eteamz.com/GeorgiaBattleCats ... cat=555426 We want to see you there! -coach jimbo Email: georgiabattlecats99@gmail.com Phone: 404-580-8947
  5. I have a few families approach me about fall tryouts this weekend with this same couple of questions. I wanted to answer them here since others may also have those same questions. Can you accommodate girls "out of town"? ****Yes. We can and will. Details are still pending, but distance is NOT an issue for the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 season. Are you really looking for pitching? Catching? All positions? ****Yes. If you are one the best I see during tryouts, a spot is yours if you want it. My girls know that I expect them to play at the best level they can at all times, and for me not to have an honest tryout for them with all the risks thereof would be selling them short. -coach jimbo
  6. Georgia Battle Cats - 1999 are looking for girls in the area to play with us in our second season. All Positions are on the table. The girls who bring the best game earn their slots. We encourage you to check out our website and browse our handouts. Get to know us and call us with questions about the team. Please let us know if you intend to attend our tryouts so we can have enough handouts for everyone. DATES/TIME: Aug 15, (Battlefield) 1:00 PM ??“ 4:00 PM Aug 16, (Battlefield) 1:30 PM ??“ 5:00 PM We are in one of the hottest counties for softball in Georgia (Gwinnett). Distance not an issue. We are looking for the best girls in the region and will work with you to make distance work! We can also arrange for private tryouts for folks between July 27 and Aug 14. Just contact Coach Jimbo. coachjimbo@live.com 404-580-8947 http://www.eteamz.com/GeorgiaBattleCats-99
  7. Only Four savings slots left! Get in quick so you don't miss out on that $50 savings!
  8. The Georgia Battle Cats ??“ 99 are looking for more teams who want to get that early look at where their teams stand. It a great opportunity to knock off rust from our gap of inactivity between spring and fall seasons and get back to some great Georgia softball! We are expecting some tough local Georgia teams. So, come on down to Georgia and show everyone why the southeast region is the region to watch in ASA for 2010! We have a discount of $50 available to the first eight teams who commit to our tournament by July 31, 2009. 9. You know you have been working hard. You practice pitching every day, and now you have improved. You have improved a lot. You know you have passed little princess in the circle, but the problem is your coach can only see you for where you were during fall 1998 tryouts and you want the chance to prove your worth. Is this you? Do you want a chance to earn a place in a pitching rotation this fall with a second year 10U team? Are you tired of waiting? Then the Georgia Battle Cats ??“ 99 are looking for you! We have general team tryouts on August 15 and 16 (see our website for details), but we are looking at pitchers right now in confidential tryouts so you can be sure that there is no affect on your status on your current team. If pitching with a good team instead of waiting for your chance with a team who does not see what you have become appeals to your daughter, then contact Coach Jimbo at: 404-580-8947 Or georgiabattlecats99@gmail.com We practice on a private practice field in Suwanee (Battlefield) and are members of GLAA out of Lion??™s Club Park in Lilburn. We always have experienced coaches who develop players and guide them to the next level, and know how to communicate with parents and manage team affairs. Does this sound like it is something that would appeal to you? Contact us. Otherwise... Fear the Claws! PS>> We will work with any out of town/state players in skill positions so distance is not an issue. http://www.eteamz.com/GeorgiaBattleCats-99
  10. Hotel Information is now posted! We have worked with a few hotels near the fields to make it easy for you to come on down to GA and play with us!
  11. I signed up with a tournament in Tennessee with a man named David Baines working under Five Star Sports. Does anyone know how to contact him? Please send contact information if anyone knows him. georgiabattlecats99@gmail.com
  12. You know the time for younger teams. There is that break between nationals and fall season. Middle School ball and High School ball starts up, but the 8U teams and 10U teams are ready for some early travel tournaments by the end of August to knock that softball rust off the team performance between seasons and see where you stack up, but all the focus is on the big girls. Well, this is the tournament for you! Georgia Battle Cats ??“ 99 want you to invite you to join us for the 2009 Knock the Rust Off Open. This will be an ASA sanctioned event for 8U and 10U teams. It will be at historic Lion??™s Club Park in Lilburn, GA on August 28, 29, and 30. We plan a day of great softball and fun for all. Please take a look at the website and be one of the first eight teams that sign-up and claim you discount! See website for details??¦ http://www.eteamz.com/GeorgiaBattleCats-99....cfm?cat=555426
