  1. Obion Co. went 3-2 for the tournament and lost in overtime of the finals to the Tennesssee Rim Ratlers 9th grade team.
  2. No chance of playoffs. They have played no competition. They will beat Houston County, but who wont!Could beat wavo and Adamsville and Loretto and Riverside but not likely.LC and Camden will beat them as bad as they want to.
  3. Enough about HCand Waverly. What about Wavo and Richland?Ihear they have a good QB,but lost a great RB.Is this true?
  4. I cannot beleive Hickman ran the score up on Wavo like they did. They have no class.I told some people Friday night during the game that they would run it up.Oh well,it is Richland this week. All i know is that Wavo is going to get its first win Friday nught at home.Right now Wavo by 12.Could be closer but I doubt it.What does everyone think about the game? thanks, Radio Man
  5. Whoever the coach at Hickman is,he'd better be ready to wake up Saturday morning 0-2.The Tigers will roll in Friday night with only one thing in mind-a double digit victory. That's right! The Tigers will win by at least 10 ,probably more.Nothing against Hickman, the Tigers are just that much better. What have you all got to say about that.I'm outta here. Yours Truly, Radio Man
  6. yes! He did play ay Lipscomb under Don Meyer.
  7. Lets not forget about JOHN STIGALL at West Carroll. His record last year (his first year) and his record this year so far speaks for its self!
  8. KEVIN RAWLINGS - WAVERLY CENTRAL BRIAN HASKINS - PERRY COUNTY These two guys are not only great young coaches, but they are both great individuals as well. Their personality and philosophy are perfect for their job and for the schoool that they are at. Look for these two names to be around for a long time.
  9. It is a sad day in basketball when a great Coach such as Mike Greer is forced to resign. What was Obion County thinking? My guess is...THEIR NOT! I had the pleasure of being a part of one of Coach Greers’s programs while he was at Jackson State. I must tell you, this is a coach that doesn’t come around very often. Being around and involved in the game of basketball my whole life and having known Coach Greer for the last eight plus years, I can honestly say that I have never met a bigger influence or better coach, person, father, friend and/or teacher throughout my life. Coach, you are doing a great job and keep doing things the right way! Coach John Wooden once said "Ability will get you to the top, character will keep you there." With this quote in mind, this is no doubting your coaching "ability" and you are defiantly one of the top coaches around. You teach players not only about basketball, but about life as well. And as far as character goes, Coach you are one of the classiest characters I have ever met and there is no doubt that this is only a step in the right direction for you and your family. They obviously don’t know what they want. I completely respect you for your decision to stand up for yourself and not let whining parents and idiotic school board members to degrade your character. If there is anything I can do for you and your family, I will never sell you short like Obion has! For those of you (players, parents, teachers, school board members and fans) that were not responsible for this mishap and do understand what a class act Coach Greer is, my heart goes out to you for losing such a first-class coach. As far as for those selfish parents and/or school board members in control of that revolving door at Obion County that are responsible for this situation, I also have another quote for you by Coach John Wooden... "Happiness begins where selfishness ends."

  11. Has anyone heard the scoop or talk about what coaching jobs are opening for the next year?
  12. I know it's not a team fron tennessee, but it is a shame that white station can not play East Poinsett County in Arkansas. This school is about a 30 minute drive from white station and is on a roll. With all Juniors this 3A school of Arkansas has managed to only lose 1 game all year. With all juniors, EPC has knocked off every 4A and 5A team they have played. I hear they have a special player by the name of Marcus Monk (6'7 2 gaurd) that is unbelievable. Its a shame these two teams that are so close in distance will never have a chance to play!
