  1. just as I posted that I checked TSSAA, looks like they met on Sunday after all. Probably met for lunch after church. Interesting matchups.
  2. I am assuming coaches won't be in this 10 a.m. meeting. Should have been done on Sunday.
  3. Problem now is that there are two DII sites and one A/AA. Used to use finley which would give you three sites where no one would have a home field advantage.
  4. Congrats to Soddy-Daisy. When was the last time a AAA team from Chattanooga went to the state tournament? It's been awhile I think.
  5. I know BGA and ECS won but don't know the scores. GPS Baylor BGA ECS Bracket Perdiction- GPS vs BGA Baylor vs ECS It will be interesting to see what TSSAA does with the bracket.
  6. This is from the article on wrcb. From what I know this is false. The media has done a terrible job with this story. There have been so many bad reports it's incredible. Back to the subject... Should be a great game and a big crowd.
  7. Notre Dame-Livingston is at 4 p.m. EST CCS-Station Camp is at 4 p.m. EST
  8. Gatlinburg-Pittman vs Knox Catholic CAK vs Pigeon Forge Notre Dame vs Livingston Academy Station Camp vs CCS FRA vs Columbia Academy Spring Hill vs CPA USJ vs McNairy Central Madison vs Jackson Christian
  9. I dont see this one being close. Grace took it to Silverdale earlier and LV dominated Grace. I know you can't compare games like that but I just don't see Silverdale staying with LV unless Scruggs gets hurt. LV will wear them out by running the ball. It will get ugly in the 2nd half.
  10. they cannot be extradited. (which means they cannot come and get them because it is a misdemenor) IF they are in GA, they can arrest them. At least that's what I hear on the news. 99% of teenagers don't go onto another schools football field after a game and start talking trash. Actually, I have been to alot of football games and never seen it. I have seen fights, I have seen trash talk but not like this. It was a pretty bold move to actually come on the field. Ridgeland should have let their football players take care of it. I am sure the Ringgold players would have joined in. That would have taught them a lesson. (No I am not really advocating that) Turn yourself in and it will eventually go away.
  11. if they are going to "deal with it" then the kids have to turn themselves in. Some have not yet. It is going to fester until they turn themselves in and "let the courts" deal with it.
  12. I am assuming both games will be played tomorrow?
  13. there are alot of valleys in tennessee. If your talking about the Sequatchie Valley... I got my money on Howard... no wait they are in the Chattanooga valley.
  14. I saw a coach taking a dip on the sidelines friday night. He was right in front of his players in the middle of the game. Game was in Chattanooga. Green against Blue. (it was on the green side) It really bothered me.
  15. boyd is probably considered less skilled and more physical. No teams have practiced in wet conditions... except today.
  16. local news report says Bennie made them run laps and do community service. Several of them have still not turned themselves in. Can kids just come to school when they have a known warrant for their arrest? They still practice with the team with a warrant? Doesn't make since to me.
  17. The Region 3 AAA match Ooltewah vs Cleveland at Lee University Monday, 7:30 p.m. has been rescheduled for Tuesday at Soddy-Daisy 5 p.m.
  18. is this game still scheduled for Monday, 7:30 at Lee University?
  19. do you have any scores? BGA beat Baylor Brentwood beat GPS Father Ryan beat Harpeth
  20. Temple probably already has... I am sorry, but I had to say it. I apologize deeply. It is late and I just couldn't resist. On a serious note and on topic... this will be a great district this year. it will be a shootout between CSAS, Temple and Grace. One team will not go to region. I, like dadoffour, am really looking forward to basketball.
  21. taydizzle- recruiting has to do with the coaches going out and convincing kids with their undue influence to come to temple. Just because the kid is practicing, doesn't mean he was recruited. I don't understand how you can't see that. On the flip side, I do agree with you 100% that Larson was a clear violation (assuming he practiced even though he wasn't attending) and it does go back to Wadley. But it is not necessarily recruiting. Did TSSAA look into the Larson issue and find that there was no violation?
  22. What about the issue with Larson? That was the old adminstration. Did they make a call as well? Sounds like he practiced while a student at SE Whitfield.
  23. its not recruiting (as defined by TSSAA) if a student shows up at your school, goes through the application process, pays enrollement and starts practicing. It is against the rules but it is not recruiting. I am sure they looked into whether or not these guys are recruited and obviously they did not find anything.
  24. so I guess Eric larson didnt practice with the team in the spring before he enrolled. For awhile that was an issue discussed. I am sure they looked into that as well.
