  1. I believe that he's going to be eligible, because I had seen him at a Hillsboro Summer League basketball game and he was about to play basketball, so i'm sure if he's eligible for Basketball he should be eligible for football.
  2. YOMCA 16U was the only team out of TN to make it out of their pool in the 17U nationals.
  3. If you can post any information on Murfressboro Stars, Memphis Bellvue, Youth About Basketball Tigers, Memphis Blackhawks, Mottep Panthers, or Memphis All-Stars, please do.
  4. I feel the same way you do about Michael Johnson, I don't think he's the best player in the state, but he should get way more recognition than he does. It's just because of the school that he goes to. He goes to Hillwood who only won about 5 games last season. I hope Hillwood have a better year next year. Then watch how much they talk about him.
  5. If they are good as everyone says they should play AAU. I would love to see another team in TN other than Memphis YOMCA that can play against the top teams in the Nation. Right now YOMCA is the best program in TN. Every YOMCA team goes to the nationals and does good in the Nationals.
  6. In the 15U age group I haven't heard anything about the TN Travelers. Who do they have? I won't rank them because I haven't seen them. 15U 1. Memphis YOMCA Bulldogs 2. Memphis Rebels/ TN Thunder 3. Nashville Royals 4. Run n' Gun 5. Knoxville Lakers 6. Team TN 7. Columbia Bullets 8. Charles Davis Fdn. Tn Thunder and Rebs are just about the same, but I believe Thunder has more depth. Royals aren't real talented, but because of Johnnie Lee they are a good team. Memp. YOMCA is the best team because they play together with the great talent that they have. Run n' Gun were an mediocre team because of their point guard Albert Harris. Knoxville Lakers were alright but they weren't a threat to any of the top teams. If team TN would of made it out of the sub-state they would of been going to the nationals, they had to meet up with TN Thunder for the sub-state semis and got demolished. Columbia Bullets played a real good game with MLK and also beat TN Thunder due to the coaches and refs into it the whole game. Charles Davis Fdn. were ok but they needed more help they had like two or three players who carried the team.
  7. Centennial was pretty good last year, but I wouldn't put them in the top six. If I were to post a top 8 to 10 Centennial would definitely be in.
  8. I agree that Maryville is a very good team, but when did they become so good to where people could say that they can't be beaten. Didn't Morristown West beat them last year, teams that can't be beaten don't get beaten. I could see someone saying this if they were just going around dominating every team that they play, but they lost a game last year and barely beat Hillsboro. Hillsboro's best player (Tim Gray) is gone but they have another QB (Brad Doss) who is pretty good also. If I could remember it wasn't Hillsboro's offese that made them so good it was there defense, and Tim Gray didn't play defense. They only lost 2 players on defense.
  9. The best upcoming 8th grader is Jon-Jon, He goes to Brentwood Academy and also plays for the Mottep Panther 14U squad in Nashville. He plays up and he still does his thang.
  10. I seen Franklin in Summer League and they will not be as close to as good as they were last year. They had probably lost every game they played by 15 or more points. They had a very young team with alot of sophmores, but their freshman team was pretty good last year, so I give them a couple of years. I think that they need a pg. 11. Last year in AAA the two districts in Nashville met up in the region. The region with Whites Creek, Maplewood, McGavock, and Stratford swept every team in the other district. This year I believe things are going to be a little bit different depending on who plays who.
  12. I think Stratford and Centennial had the best and biggest crowds. When we had went to Centennial we had almost go into a fight for being on their side wearing the opposing team's jersey. Me and my friends probably of got into a fight if the cops didn't escort us to the other side. Stratford had one of the hypest crowds in Nashville, but who wouldn't be hype with someone dunking every quarter.
  13. There aren't to many 5A teams in Nashville, but I'd pick Hunters Lane going by last year performances. It really doesn't matter, because we all know that Hillsboro's 4A squad is probably the best in the city.
  14. Jessica Mooney is the best upcoming player in the state right now. I believe is she were a boy she'd still be a real good player. As a seventh grader she led her team to the Metro Nashville City Championship. Her eight grade year she dominated, She won the championship with her team her eigth grade year. Next year she will be at Hillsboro.
  15. Top 6 1.Maplewood 2.McGavock 3.Antioch 4.Hillsboro 5.Stratford 6.Glencliff Maplewood should be pretty good next year because of their guards and experience that their players have in the state tourney. McGavock had a very young team last year with AJ and Donnel starting at guards as sophmores. I think that they should be pretty good next year because of how good they were last year with the young team that they had. I expect Antioch to be a solid team next year with Tyuan Trice, Nolan Richardson, and Marlon Gordon in the backcourt. Hillsboro should be good next year because of their post players. The have Chris Russell, Joe Sanders, Walter Fisher, and Calvin Bryant down low. Thats the best combination of post players known in middle TN. Stratford should be OK next year with alot of sophmores stepping up next year. I really don't expect them to be as good as last year but give them a year or two. I haven't seen Glencliff this summer but they should be alright next year looking at their roster. Jamont, Roman, Keith.
  16. Walter Fisher, middle Linebacker for hillsboro is pretty good. He was a sophmore last year and got defensive MVP for the championship game.
