You must be the most ignorant human up there in nose bleed country. Cloudland is terrible and you cant say that UH upseted them, Cloudland just got beat plain and simple. and Unaka will defeat them again!!!!

I also think it will be a good game, but Unaka has more weapons and a deeper bench...and Cloudland will not be able to match up...so I perdict Unaka 75-64

How can it be a thunderous dunk, when the ball rolled around the rim for a full 10 seconds. It was good and all but I've seen much better before.. By the way, the guy that was dunked on was Tyler McCann, he was set up for a charge but the African leaped over him like a scared deer.

As I recall, when Unaka traveled to Pickett Co. this past Thanksgiving, Unaka hammered Clay County by at least 15 or 20 and you have them listed in the final 8 run. Give the small school a little respect, they might have some rude fans but that doesn't mean you can take away from their ability.

So far Unaka is 5-0 in there conference with the win over Cloudland the other night can they make it 6 tomorrow night against the Bucaneers of University High

Well i'll put it this way most teams hardly ever and i mean "ever" beat Unaka at home and didnt Unaka have Harriman down by 15 at one point at home and when these 2 teams play I dont car what anyone says it's a war.

LOL kingbrian your rankings are a joke did you hear who beat Cosby last night they was destroyed by cloudland by 10 Unaka is very deserving of one of those spots in your ap pole beating two back to back state tournament teams 2 nights in a row can show that but like I said if you have got them in that slot it shows how big of a joke your pole is when Unaka is playing for the state title this year that might change your mind and then you can look back and tell me I was right....

Well Unaka hammered them by 31 or more at Unaka and North Greene has also beat them so that should really tell you something they might finish 3rd in the conference maybe thats if they can pick up a win over North Green who Unaka plays tonight if Unaka wins tonight that will be there 4th conference win of the season this year. There team is mostly guard oriented but the have a pretty decent post player named Michael Tyson and 2 other guards who are half way decent nothing special though Unaka pressed them the whole game and made them turnover the ball quiet a few times in the game but if you put good pressure on them they will fall apart I dont see them doing anything in the conference or district.

If there ever is a third game it will probably be at Unaka in the SubState because I dont see Unaka losing in the district or regional as a matter of fact I'll go out on a limb here I believe they have about 17 or 18 games left in the regular season see if they dont win 16-18 of those games this 2nd half of the season big schedule during the 1st of the season will pay off for them.

Derek Cline and Rusty Chambers put on a good performance against North Greene in Friday nights game being down 8-2 at one point in the first quarter and then just absolutely shut North Greene down the remainder of the game with Cline and Chambers both putting up 29 and 25 between each other and playing huge on the defensive side with good pressure from the guards causing North Greene to turn the ball over numerous times because of Unaka's tough full court press next game will be there first home game against Sullivan East on Tuesday Good job Rangers.

Hats off to Happy Valley they protected there home floor and played a great ball game.I am a Unaka fan but im not gonna get on here and blame it on the refs because they dont make for the 22 points that Unaka let Happy Valley beat them by. Unaka has got to decide are they gonna play as a team or are they gonna play me ball,are they gonna play tough defense and rebound the basketball every night or are they gonna give teams 2nd chance oportunnities to rebound the basketball and have easy put backs like last night's game when Happy Valley controlled the boards all night long. Step up your defense and play like the Unaka teams have played in the past you step out on the floor and you play your tail of for 32 minutes non stop and you take care of buisness when you play all these teams play like it means something quit letting Happy Valley and Cloudland and all these teams whip up on you play with some heart and take us to the state tournament once again I'm comming to watch you guys play friday against Science Hill and when the game is over i wanna see the look on peoples faces after Unaka wins. Highly doubtful groundround this will be one of the best Unaka teams that has ever stepped on the floor up there they have could possibly have the best starting 5 in East Tennessee but I guess we will find out how they stand tomorrow night against Knox Bearden.

And the war has begun between the Landers and Rangers already my god people cant you just wait till the game is actually going to be played I cant stand reading crap on here thats so non fiction its not even funny for (EXAMPLE) Cloudland is not gonna hold Chambers to 2 or 4 points they will be lucky to hold him to 30. (Example#2)They can not go as deep as Unaka can with there bench this year they had the shooters and subs to do it last year but things change Johnson and Gouge graduated unless you have traveled to Avery County and found 2 other shooting guard I dont see them beating Unaka from the outside. (Example#3)Robbie Tolley what is your dang point he has got the talent to be the best post player in the conference but his self motivation is what stops him from that,Unaka has 2 post players 6'5 and 6'6 who can actually score at will tell me who can guard the inside with having to worrying about the outside shooting from Unaka. And last but not least(Example#4)Look as far back as you wanna go of course Cloudland has got lucky in the past and atleast upset Unaka once heck they did when Aaron Dugger played but who actually comes out with the WVC title when it comes down to it. It all boils down to every year Cloudland is just looking to get atleast one win over Unaka and they feel like they are on cloud nine. Bottom line Cloudland wont smell victory nor home court advantage or exspecially when they play at SNAVELY GYMNASIUM.

They are pretty much loaded returning everyone back from last year.

I agree 100% with CoachTDog. There needs to be communication and cooperation between all the coaches at UHS. Pulling together as one is a heckuva lot easier than trying to see who can out do the other. I'm sure that all the coaches are in it for the ultimate good of the kids. Let's just not lose focus on what that "good" really is. TDog said it best when he said that everyone on here isn't going to agree with everything thats posted. That's what makes this "sounding board" so unique. You can read everyone opinions, where good or bad, state your opinion and move on. Maybe feelings might be hurt, just remember its only OPINIONS.

I"m sick and tired of hearing "we're doing it for the kids". That's a bunch of bologna and the coaches know it. Sure they want to win but it looks like that all the athletes (I'm not saying that there aren't any athletes playing football) are playing baseball and basketball. The Unaka football program has been on a downhill spiral for the last 3-4 years. Their getting no players from the elementary schools so how do they expect to have a winning team in high school. You can't just decide one day you're a football player and bam you've got a winning team. One of the other people who posted on this and I can't remember who it was said that you've got the old timers still in there coaching. I think you've got the old timers trying to re-live their glory days ant the expense of the kids.I also heard there's a lot of ticked off parents in basketball and baseball. Sacrificing one sport for another, shame on you coaches and shame on the school board for letting you get by with it. And while we're on the subject, how did you guys manage to spend so much money on the football field and the baseball field still looks like a cow pasture. I sure hope that somebody gets their tails in gear and finishes the field while they still can.
