  1. Boys are only allowed in 12 & under
  2. Perhaps you are right and I mean no disrespect to Lawrence County. Their girls played with class and I don't think I saw their coach yell at the referees one time. I was very impressed with how they handled themselves. The fans were a little boisterous, but whose aren't. I have edited my earlier post and took out my conspiracy theory suggestion. Just spoken out of frustration with the horrible game that was called.
  3. Very well spoken! What Cumberland County's girls were doing was deplorable and should not be tolerated. This is basketball, not an MMA fight!!! I hate to say it, but it is almost as if they were coached to play that way. That type of behavior is not acceptable in high school sports. If I were a player, fan, coach, administrator, or anyone else in that community, I would be ashamed. As for the referees, there should be discipline from the TSSAA. There is no way they cam say they did not see what happened. One ref was standing right in front of the play! And, the fact that they are from the Lawrence County area, who Bradley has to play next just makes it even that much more suspicious. I just hope and pray that the young lady is able to play, because it would be a shame for her high school career to end because some bully decided since she couldn't beat her on the basketball court, she would just beat her up.

    Wow

The boy that won the JV race would be on varsity but he is not eligible. He moved from some other country to here. He will be a force to be reckoned with next year.
  5. Bradley is going to be a dangerous team come tournament time. They are young, have nothing to lose, and will be ready to play. This team reminds me of the team a few years ago when Brittany Jackson was a junior. They barely had a .500 record, finished fourth in the distric tournament, and still made it to the state semi-finals. Now we have a player like Jackie and are hovering around .500. I would love to see history repeat itself. Everyone knows that it is going to be hard playing both tournaments at Cumberland County, but anything is possible come tournament time. GO BEARETTES!!
  6. If McMinn County wants to win, they better not let Cumberland shoot 3-pointers or free throws. They only missed one free throw out of about 15 or more and didn't miss many more three pointers than that.
  7. AMEN! Get off of Coach Glasner's back and let him do his job. He is a good coach and even better a good person. He is doing a fine job. You act like he has never coached before. He was the head coach at Franklin County and under him they greatly improved from how they were before he went. He has also coached on the college level. Everyone wanted to get rid of Coach Harlowe because he was too hard on the girls, now people are on Coach Glasner's back because he treats them with respect. GET OVER YOURSELVES and let the man coach. I swear, some people just can't be satisfied.
  8. It should be very interesting when these two teams meet this year. Cleveland is more experienced, but I think a lot of people are underestimating Bradley this year. They are young, scrappy, and talented. I agree with wareagle, a split is very possible and both teams should play substate games somewhere.
  9. Bradley Central has got a very good freshmen class. Two of them could possibly be starters sometime during the season. The future looks bright for the Bearettes!
  10. Congratulations to both teams on making it to region. The Bearettes are improving every year, and with a young team this year could be a team to watch out for in 2005. Good luck against Ooltewah in the region.
  11. Great memories huh? Too bad a certain other team from Greene County is not coming so you could take your revenge. BTW, do we know who is going to be in our bracket yet?
  12. This year's tournament could be the best one since it has been started. It should be an extremely exciting and competitive weekend of basketball. I can't wait for the season to get started. 2003-2004 Stats: Harpeth Hall (27-7) - Lost to Briarcrest Christian in the D-II State Championship. Wilson Central (31-6) - 2003 Holiday Inn Champs; Lost in AAA state 1st round to Greeneville. Powell (35-5)- 2003 Landair Tip-Off Classic Champs; Lost in AAA state semifinals by 3 points to Memphis Craigmont. Greeneville (26-7) - Lost in AAA state semifinal's by 9 to state champ Shelbyville. Giles County (16-12) - Have been down a little bit, but always have talent. Antioch (23-13) - Lost in AAA state sectionals. Knoxville Webb (24-9) - Lost in first round of D-II state tournament. Pigeon Forge (26-9) - Lost in Region Semi-finals. Bradley Central (23-11) - Greeneville Bank runner-up; Holiday Inn runner-up; Lost in AAA sectionals to Columbia Central. Hazel Green, AL (UN) - Lost in AAAAA Sub-Regional Semifinals. That is a combined record of 231-79 and a .745 winning percentage. 5 teams in their respective state tournaments and 2 more falling just one game short. In my opinion, this could be one of the best girls tournaments of the year.
  13. Any infor on Elmore? I know she is also a standout on the basketball team and track team. I hope that everything goes well for her.
  14. Look a little closer. This is the cross country forum, not football.
  15. What does everyone think? Only one second separated McAmis and Floden at last years state meet. It should be a very exciting race.
