  1. We still have a few openings in the TSCA Tournament for April 19 and 20 in Clarksville. Remember if you are a member of the TSCA and play in the tournament, all procedes from tournament go back to the girls in forms of Scholarships for member schools who play. Also this year the tournament falls during Clarksville's Rivers and Spires Festival with fun for all ages. Also, a special treat this year is a free concert on Saturday after the tournament. See information below. The Rivers & Spires Festival is pleased to announce that the Grammy nominated and CMA award-winning country musician Jo Dee Messina will be the featured headliner at the 2013 Festival. Messina will take the Public Square stage at 7 p.m. as the main event on April 20. The concert is free and open to the public.
  2. District 10AAA was pretty much dominated by 2 or 3 teams until the last couple of years and now it is a 9 team toss up. There are still teams that are better overall but anyone can beat anyone on a given day. During the first 10 years after Rossview open they were District Champion or Runner up every year. Last year was 1st year they did not go to the Region Tournament. Here are the years since Rossview opened which is all I have. Year Champion Runner-Up 2002 Dickson County Rossview (State Champion) 2003 Dickson County Rossview 2004 Dickson County Rossview ( State Tournament ) 2005 Rossview Clarksville (State Tournament) 2006 Rossview Clarksville 2007 Rossview Dickson County 2008 Northeast Rossview 2009 Dickson County Rossview 2010 Dickson County Rossview 2011 Northeast Rossview 2012 Clarksville Northeast
  3. Here is the website to go to for application. Fill out copy and mail to Phil Burkhart, https://sites.google.com/site/tscacom/tscatourney Thanks, Phil
  4. Rossview is looking for a game on Tuesday May 1, either at Rossview or close to Clarksville. Please contact Phil Burkhart at 931-216-0740 or email at phillip.burkhart@cmcss.net
  5. I know Rossview and Dickson had a 15 inning game back in 2004 where Ashley Elrod of Rossview had 28 strikeouts and Ashley Myatt of Dickson had 27 and we were told that the record was like 57 and we had missed it by 2. But I think the total for one pitcher is in the low 30's and I wanted to say it was Megan Rhodes from Lipscomb or maybe someone from Ezell. Riverdale's Kat was close also. Hope this helps.
  6. Wow, this is one of the best fields of tournament teams I have seen in a long time. Good luck, to all of the teams involved in this year's tournament.
  7. All Middle Schools in Montgomery County play in fall. Games start next week.
  8. Almost sold out, if anyone is still interested.

  10. Play It Again Sports in Clarksville on April 15 and 16 rained out also.
  11. Thanks for your input Coach. The rule for the tournament was a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes with no new inning to start after 1 hour and 10 min. The last part was left off of the printed sheet that the coaches received and that has been addressed. Since this is a new complex and the 1st time the County has hosted a tournament of this size, there were some issues with the fields. The lining of the outfields, pitching distances and dragging of the fields have all been addressed and will be in order next year. But as far as the teams at the Civitan Complex, I don't think I have seen that many good evenly matched teams at any tournament I have ever attended. Thanks again for coming and your input.
  12. To quote a few of the coaches from many different states, "This was one of the best tournaments we have ever been to". The Play It Again Sports Tournament in Clarksville this past weekend was a great success. Creek Wood beat Ballard in the Gold Championship game and Station Camp wins over Crockett County in the silver. With 44 teams total the tournament had great weather and 2 wonderful parks to play in. Below is the complete Gold Pool series and single elim tournament. Thanks again to all of the teams, coaches and fans. A special thanks to the umpires and Buddy Forrest also. To the city and county recreation depts, great job. Gold Division
  13. Wanted to add Thanks to the players who had to play out in the rain and cold. I know it was a bad day to play but you all gave it your all and looked like you enjoyed it. At least until it got too cold. Thanks ladies, hope you all have a great season.
  14. We finished pool play, but was rained out at the start of the tournament. We did crown Champions and Runners-up . We had another great tournament this year at the MTSCA Classic even though it was rained out, all of the teams got their pool play in. Also those who played on Thursday got a couple of games in. Thanks to all of the parents, fans, umpires and Buddy Forrest, the park workers and Heritage Park staff, and anyone else who helped out with the tournament. We are sorry we did not get to finish but overall we feel like it was a success. The MTSCA gives the profits back to the girls in scholarships and that will be coming up in the next few weeks. The MTSCA has given out almost $50,000 in scholarships in the past 8 years. Since this is the first time we have not gotten to finish the tournament in order of staying with tradition we did crown Champions and Runner-Ups. We took the winners of the 2 Gold Pools and went by records to crown a Champion and Runner-up and with Silver we took undefeated teams and runs scored. Below is a break down of this. We know this is not a perfect way to do this, we had rather finished playing but the officers who met decided to do this and be as fair as we could be. Since this tournament is all about the girls we hope this works for all involved. We had 2 Gold Pools, so we took winner of each pool, then went by records to Crown Champions 2011 MTSCA Classic Gold Champion - Rossview 3-0 Winner of Pool A and overall best record 2011 MTSCA Classic Gold Runner-up - Creek Wood 2-1 Winner of Pool B We had 3 Silver Teams that were undefeated, so we took those teams and went with runs scored to crown a Champion and Runner-up. Morristown East was 3-0 and scored 28 runs in tournament Clarksville High was 3-0 and scored 20 runs in tournament Warren County was 3-0 and scored 9 runs in tournament So; 2011 MTSCA Classic Silver Champion - Morristown East 2011 MTSCA Classic Silver Runner-up - Clarksville High Thanks again to all and scores are at websites below: It it don't take you to link you may have to cut and paste or just type in, sorry sometimes link don't work for me on CoachT, http://www.allprosoftware.net/2011MTSCATHURSDAYGAMES/ http://www.allprosoftware.net/2011MTSCASILVERPOOLPLAY/ http://www.allprosoftware.net/2011MTSCAGOLDPOOL/
