EaglesFan2004, I think you have ftballkicker confused with somebody else. Ftballkicker was the place kicker at Franklin from 2002-2004 and is now at UT. I think you are confusing him with David DeFatta who was the punter at Franklin from 2002-2004 and is now a placekicker/punter at Marshall University in West Virginia.
I thought that Franklin played pretty good. They are a young team and it looks like they will have a successful season. The defense looked solid as well as goalkeeping. The center mid-field is the strong part of the team with 21, and 16. The forwards looked a little rusty. They played the ball mostly through the middle with 16 and 21 creating many offensive opportunities. Tullahoma is a solid team and hopefully they have a good season as well.
I was very impressed with both teams tonight. I thought Franklin had the ball in the Brentwood 3rd a lot but Brentwood capitalized on Franklins shaky defense. Tyler Ogilvie and Kevin Hall played well in the midfield, you can't say enough about Brentwoods forwards, but the thing that will hurt Brentwood in their run for state is their outside back. He is a decent player and wins the ball a lot but he has no class and an awful mouth. I hope the rest of the Brentwood players get him in check before they go down to Memphis because more than likely he will end up with a red card and hurt Brentwoods chances. Other than that I thought it was a well played game and could have gone either way. I think the players(well most) have a lot of respect for each other and it showed.
Donna- Muller don't even try to talk about Brentwood not playing clean. They were one of the premeir teams in the state and they don't need you telling them how to play. Second wasn't it your son who kicked a Franklin player when the ball was at the other end of the feild? So lets not talk about who should play clean.
Dont forget Tracy Beech from Cenntennial. Does anybody else have anything to add. Fhsrebels27? WesVols? I am interested to see what other people have to say about this region because it had some great teams this year and was the best region in 5A
