  1. I agree Swanson. Neither team is very strong this year but I do think it will be the best match up between the two teams in about the last 5-6 years.
  2. I pull for RBS to do well, but injuries had nothing to do with the outcome of the Watertown game. Might could have made it closer, but would not have changed the L to a W. Good luck RBS. I hope you win out.
  3. I do wonder why they have things set up the way they do now, making fans drive 2 hours to watch their boy play one nigh then turn around and drive it again the next night to drive 2 hours again to watch the girls play. It seems to me things could be adjusted somehow.
  4. I do understand. And I agree that a foul should have been called earlier, but the correct call was made on the intentional. I do not know what you mean by the "Watertowns finest" i missed something. I posted that because it appeared in the post that the original poster couldnt believe that it was called intentional when it clearly was. I do not think it was the best called game but I though it was consitently called bad for both sides at times. Again I was impressed with the Heart the JC boys showed in fighting back. A lot of High Schools host Region ball games. Its not always due to just the size of the gym, but also the amount of fire exits.
  5. No hard times, but when they shove the kid completely out of bounds the way that kid did there is no other call that can be made, grabbing, bumping, smacking an arm, whatever is fine. But that was an intentional foul plain and simple. I posted this to laugh at the fact that he was admitting it was intentional and was obviously at the game and to call it anything other than intentional is hilarious to me.
  6. Lets see, you admit you were trying to foul and cant understand why an intentional foul was called. hmmmmm I am not even from Watertown and I laugh at this. I was at the game, it was the correct call. JC did a great job fighting back and showing a lot of heart but the refs had nothing to do with the outcome.
  7. No one cries about this in Football and every game in the football play offs has a team with the home field advantage. If you dont like it then start hosting in one of your gyms when it is your districts turn to host.
  8. Great season Macon and hopefully you will build on it next year.
  9. I was not making a projection. I was responding to the guy who made the projection and said he had never missed one. And I am not from east TN I am from Macon originally and live in Smith now.
  10. Don't know how the game will turn out but my hats off to the boys on the hill. It sure is good to see things improving up there. I sure hope to see the Tigers extend the season another week. Nothing against DL but as a former MC player and coach I got to pull for the tigers. I sure wish I could be there tonight.
  11. Never missed a projection, dang you should be able to make some money.
  12. Great post Termite. As a former Macon County boy I am excited to see things starting to turn around and Congrats on a big win. You have seen what it takes to win now. Keep up the hard work and get some more this season. Good luck Owls, I hope both teams can win out and make the play-offs. It may be the only chance I get to watch either team play.
  13. Mark was a GREAT man and will be missed greatly. I had the honor of playing while he was an assistant coach at Macon as well as coaching with him there as well. He will always be thought highly of those whose lives were touched by his strong Christian example. It is good to know that he is in a better place.
  14. All this comparing scores really means nothing. Watertown was a much healthier ball team when they played FCS than they were when they played WHH or ER. ER has a very talented team, but I seen a great deal of individualism on that team as well. I question how they will handle adversity, and it will come their way against FCS. If they can play as a team, keep their focus, and play 4 quarters it will be a close and good game. If not FCS will win by 21 points or more. Either way I am picking FCS. Lets see how much dancing around, nodding the head up and down, running around with his helmet off so he can be seen number (well I wont put his # that would be slamming a player and I will not do that), but lets see how much he gets to do that this week. You want see that out of FCS. Their players will be focused on the task at hand. They will not be focused on themselves as an Individual. They play as a team.
  15. You can't count on the "who beat who" thing. If so Sycamore only beat Macon by 1 in OT with Macon missing every extra point. Goodpasture beat Macon by more than 30. It all means nothing for the Sycamore Goodpasture game. You still have to line up and play. It will all come down to who executes the best. Back to the topic. I expect the Wildcats by a couple of TDs in this one but the Tigers are improving every week and I am hoping this is the week they break out. Keep up the Good work Goolsby. Never count out the Tigers.
