    MBA Game

Way to go BGA...you had a "cabillion" people dog you prior to the game...You stood tough and showed why you deserved to get respect...and remember...MBA was out for revenge...I know it's a loss but BGA kicked butt tonight!!!!(especially considering MBA has twice or more the $$$$$$ in their program...GO WILDCATS!!!!
  2. I heard Trinity is 0-3...and MBA did'nt blow out Lavergne....did they play their 2nd graders? I've seen MBA for the last 5 years...and they are fantastic...but on the high school level...I'll take a good running game to "perhaps" keep things close versus a great passing game...we'll see...it's not like I could'nt see MBA 50 points up....but i'm cheering for the Wildcats to stay close or win.
  3. Hey Red Twin, I said Webb was K-town's VERSION of MBA...let's spell it out for you...Mexico's version of the LA Lakers is? Of course we don't know and they would get killed if they played an NBA team. Point is, I "hope" you did'nt get too fired up...but my comparrison is accurate...Webb is "THE" best prep school K-town has to offer....I'm sure your Big Red would do just fine if they played them (but that was never the point).....Moving On (thank GOD)....there have definately been a couple of posts that bring this "down to earth". I definately expect a Big Red V...But I have definately seen weirder things happen (BGA is a good club)....Final....MBA 35 BGA 17
  4. Just got to ask though...who is better, Lavergne or BGA? Was MBA's final score against Lavergne a dissapointment to the Big Red....or did they play their 8th graders and sub 6th graders at the break? Just wanted to know, because on the surface I could see BGA "hanging" with the RED. And congrats to BGA on your spankage of WEBB...my brother went to poor Knox Catholic before our family moved back to Nashville...and Webb basically kicked our butts (but sometimes we kicked ---). Anyhow, WEBB is K-town's version of MBA....so at least you did those guys wrong!!! Look forward to a very good game.
  5. In middle Tn....MBA is a class amongst anyone PERIOD. Goodpature looks great...and those are the 2 that should get mentioned state-wise...besides the Brentwoods....and hopefully Pearl Cohns...Go coach Fitgerald...MBA has been THE best team in the state of TN. for the last 5 years....Publics can not contend with their disipline, strenghth, and $$$$$$.....BOTTOM LINE....Oh, and I hope you publics do get it done and win big...I'll cheer for Galletin for starters....they were the tough boys for years....next on the wish list...Oak Ridge....2 HUGE powers.....GO IRISH (we are not that good....but we used to be.....and I was on those teams).
  6. with 2 one goal losses against HH and FRHS...I'd say they are doing a better job there...Good Luck
  7. Brentwood is a very fine program...FRHS has lost more than a step or two over the last few years for one reason or another...but I do not think it is a stretch for the Ryan team to stay close...coaching is a big deal, and I do not believe that brentwood is ALL THAT....if FRHS can shorten the game...they will stay close...brentwood has BY FAR a size and weight advantage....GO IRISH
  8. MBA dominated both sides of the line AND their coaching philsophy provided great chances for a 20 to 30 point margin....Trinity was lucky to get out of the West End area alive....Go Father Ryan...congrats on your wins over MBA in baseball last year and the Lady Irish's defeat of Harpeth Hall in the Lacrosse state final (got to get props where we can Big Red and Honeybears).....Go Irish....and great job BIG RED....it hurts to say that...but it is very deserved!!!!!!
  9. I did my best to cheer on Trinity (thinking it was a great catholic school from KY)...but MBA had a defense that kicked so much ###, there was not even a chance Trinity could stay in the game. MBA should have won by more points...Rutledge is not the half of their success...Bowers' is the man who got the ball rolling again for the RED. Rutledge is obviously a great coach...but the RED have been building for years thanks to Ricky Bowers....GO IRISH (thank God there are other sports besides football).
  10. Keeping things in perspective...I know Baylor vs. GPS is HUGE....Franklin vs. anybody is not legit, but franklin is so good I can easily see the point. Obviously, every area has a rivalry, but Father Ryan (a mix of different economic backgrounds) vs. Harpeth Hall (predominantly high income backgounds) is a fight and a good one at that....a great rivalry FRHS vs. HH...two great schools and lots of great girls....GO IRISH
  11. I know you girl's deserved the title after seeing the results. Your girl's kicked butt...Go Father Ryan................Congrats to #1.....from a humble #2
  12. Congrats to HH for doing what they deserve...because they work hard for it...but extra KUDOS to Ms. Whitney Wonderlin from Battle Ground Academy for taking "the blue ribbon" in the 3200. Just 2 years ago Whitney was cited in the papers for passing out after a race.....she is a WINNER and let's hope her heart beats forever....GO IRISH...BEAT BGA
  13. I don't know this Philipa...but she exudes humility along with her incredible physical presence (for a young girl/woman)....When I saw Annie last year, i did not get the same impression. Humility goes so far for people when it comes to fans and accolades....this Philipa needs to keep up with those who have taught her....they are teaching her well. Oh, and I don't want to knock Annie...the girl is cute, tough and seems to be a major fireball of a personality (we all work together). BA men are very tough......High school track and swimming are the 2 most underrated sports in the country.....both perpetuate health for the individual...that is what our country and world need!!!...(we might finally get along...and go watch a good track meet staring Philipa)...
  14. Philipa from BA is a great athelete. I've seen her twice this year and she is plain TOUGH. Got to go with the almighty HH to take the title (allthough if BA won I might smile somewhat)....speaking of HH, Allie Bohannon is becoming one of the best "milers" in the state's history. I think we should all wish her well. As far as the BA (young) men......well, they are "BA"....I HOPE YOU BEAT MBA to the pulp that of course they are....O.K., so you are a very fine program....but BA is kicking your butt right now....GO IRISH
  15. Congrats to the Father Ryan high School Lady Irish as they beat ECS and GPS yesterday.....GOOD start for the girl's in purple, red and white or silver (depending on the year)....Go for it Lady Irish....
