  1. I too agree, If they can get over last week, then I say Chargers by 14
  2. This should be a good matchup. I really see things building up for the Playoff matchups between the teams from Districts 1-4. Can't help but look forward to key games like this one.
  3. After seeing Carter play this past week for the first time I think this will be a good matchup and test for both. I have seen Carter play once and Gatlinburg-Pittman play once. I was able to see the GP vs AE game a couple of weeks ago on TV. GP seemed to struggle with the speed that AE had, but AE was just way to dis-organized to get anything productive done. I looked at both teams previous wins and schedules and don't see a huge difference in the teams they have each played. GP has played Fulton already which we all know was over before it started, and every team has and will struggle with Fulton. Here is how they have both faired against similar teams. Union Co Carter won 52-12 GP won 48-20 Cocke Co GP won 35-0 Carter won 33-0 AE GP won 35-12 Carter won 50-6 The rest of games and schedule GP beat Green Back 20-14 GP beat Unicoi Co 46-22 GP beat Cumberland Gap 35-7 GP lost to Fulton 62-8 Carter beat Gibbs 54-48 Carter beat South-Doyle 44-10 Carter beat McMinn Central 47-22 Carter beat Pigeon Forge 27-24 I think Carter is much faster than GP, but GP is a stronger running and possession control team. Should be a great atmosphere and great game. Good luck to both teams.
  4. Fun game to watch--Central came out the second half and had a pretty good half time offensive adjustment, but could not sustain the surge they made enough to out score Carter. As far as the officials, I felt Carter got the shaft on the calls. Both teams got by with holding, and honestly you could call holding on every play. That just my opinion though. I think the Carter team was way to athletic for Central. Carter could have scored, in my opinion several more times on the deep ball, but didn't throw it as much. Central just took too long to score when it did. It was a great game to watch though. Respect for both teams.
  5. Not sure they have played a good power running team like Central. Haven't been able to watch Central play this year, but have heard they have a pretty good running game. Is that all they can do or is the passing game a hidden part of their game?
  6. Not sure if they are as good as the record shows. They seem to have just played some really weak opponents.
  7. I don't think he will be teaching at Grace he is only coaching. If that is the case then he will only get half the tuition. The other he will have to pay. With what Grace went through a couple years ago, I don't see them bending the rules for anyone.
  8. Halls dominant in the Knoxville Youth programs????? I thought Pilot pretty much dominated the Knoxville programs...... I guess you have trouble reading JuniorsDad. I said that "Halls youth programs have been some of the more dominant teams in the past". Yes Pilot has dominated some leagues. Of course Pilot has handpicked the best kids from many teams and putting them together to play community teams. Just so you know Pilot has not dominated the leauges like Halls used to. Halls would have 3 teams of the same age, and win all three divisions some times. Back to a previous reply". I was trying to get across that winning a youth league championship does not always add up to winning in High School. I used Halls because they have won many leagues for many years, but that has not added up to winning in high school. Unlike Pilot where Pilots kids end up going to high schools all over. Even several kids outside the county. Halls kids normally play at Halls High School.
  9. I will say that the coaching staff is doing the best that can be done with what they have. For instance Halls youth programs have been some of the more dominant teams in the past in the much stronger Knoxville leagues. They get into High School and the kids are still 5'5" 120 lbs. They have not gotten any faster. They do get really strong, but it has just not added up to wins. In PF situation, the best players are not always playing football. I would like to see the PF youth programs play in the Knoxville Youth League or at least play some games with them to see how they compare and compete with them.
  10. I guess you like watching paint dry as well. Huh Vegas
  11. Elizabethton is a good football team. Good speed, very athletic. One thing they have is a variety of athletes.
  12. I have seen E play. It's not about being scared, its about being smart.
  13. Don't forget about having to come down I-81/40 to the Metro, and see much better competition than what you have seen so far. Especially on Defense. Alcoa speaks for itself, and AE is no slouch. AE defense is the best you will face anywhere. They have size, speed, and depth. What is really scary is they are really young as well.
  14. Should be a great matchup. Anxious to see how much difference Freeney makes in the game.
