  1. We have 1,200+ seats. For Class A that more than qualifies THE BARN to host a sub-state game!
  2. These two teams know as much about each other as one could possibly know. With that, the Lady Mustangs will have to execute the game plan, as I know Coach Tipps will have a great one, to perfection to survive and advance. Good luck to the Lady Mustangs!! Lady Mustangs by 8.
  3. Richland had a good strategy that just about worked in stalling the ball. Great game by both teams!
  4. Where has Randy Smith coached at before? What kind of offense does he like to run?
  5. I can assure you there are no "hard feelings". This group of girls is the closest we have had in a long time! I look forward to the game and think it will be very interesting! Good luck to both teams and I'm picking my Lady Mustangs in the end by 12.
  6. Loretto vs. Richland tonight has been canceled and there will be no makeup.
  7. Not Ricky Taylor. If it was, it would for sure seal our principal's fate at the end of the year. big D, to answer your questions in order: 1. That question goes back to administration. Our principal would rather have someone on staff who is a "full time teacher" instead of a coach. 2. No newspapers or media is reporting this because he won't leave the school until after this year is up and here at Loretto we don't get any media coverage. 3. They aren't officially hiring yet. 4. If we hire Taylor, I and everyone else would die. I really don't think that's going to happen.
  8. As bulldog said, he didn't receive tenure. This had more to do on the classroom side than on football side. We probably already have our next head coach. Just have to wait and see.
  9. No way we finish 4th. Simply no way! I'm seeing district champions for the Lady Mustangs this year, or 2nd if not district champs.
  10. You can watch this game live at www.GoLHSMustangs.com for anyone interested.
  11. Just wanted to let you know I get the following error when viewing the list of the forums only: Warning: memcache_connect() [function.memcache-connect]: Can't connect to 10.248.46.254:11211, Connection timed out (110) in /mnt/wwwroot/boards/ips_kernel/classCacheMemcache.php on line 93 Thanks
  12. Ahh but that's what always makes this game so fun. lchs is always the favorite (naturally) and loretto has nothing to lose.

  15. Thought this would make an interesting discussion. Story is below. Would you let this young girl play middle school football with the guys? Why or why not? http://www.wsmv.com/sports/24456932/detail.html Girl, 13, Fights To Play Football In Henry County Director Of Education Says Girls Aren’t Allowed To Play Football PARIS, Tenn. -- School-sanctioned football can only be played by boys in Henry County, but a middle-school girl and her mother want to change that. Thirteen-year-old Sara Torres' dream is to be the first female quarterback to play for the Tennessee Vols.“I think I'm a big girl. I can handle it if the guys can. I think we should have a chance (to do) what we love,†Sara said.“She loves the Tennessee Vols and Peyton Manning," said her mom.Sara said Henry County's Director of Education decided girls aren’t allowed to play football, even in middle school, because there's too much of a chance they'll get hurt.“I'm going to get hurt in softball and basketball and soccer,†said Sara. “They're just afraid that a girl can beat guys."Sara's mom wouldn't let her daughter try out for the team last year, but the teen kept insisting her mom let her go for it.“It's my child's dream to play football, so therefore, I'll help her do whatever it takes,†said Sara's mom.So far, the family has called the ACLU, the U.S. Department of Education, Equal Rights and Channel 4 News.Sara said the coach at Henry County Elementary told her he wanted her on the team, but for now, she’s still stuck in the stands.“Girls can go into the Army. Can they not just play football?†said Sara. The Assistant Director of Henry County Schools has not responded to Channel 4’s requests for comment.Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association officials said its rules allow for women to play football for schools. In fact, several girls are on Tennessee high school football teams this upcoming season. TSSAA officials said in the past some have even scored touchdowns and made all-state teams.David Williams, a law professor at Vanderbilt University and expert in this field, said because football is considered a contact sport, by law, schools do not have to allow women to participate.
  16. New schedule form is perfect! Great work!
  17. I tried to add a game, and I got the following message: You must be logged in to add schedule information. I went to the message boards and saw I was logged in, so I signed out and signed back on and I'm getting the same message.
  18. Awesome! Thank you for all you and coacht do!
  19. Tried adding the Loretto football schedule for this year, and get the following error: Railo 3.1.2.001 Error (Expression) Message component [components.game.game] has no function with name [sETSEASONID] Thanks
  20. Loretto won 17-11 in a wild game!
  21. From my experience with photographing travel ball, eteamz is the place to start. Tournament directors from tournaments put their tournaments in and you can contact them to play. Here is the link for tourneys in Tennessee: http://www.eteamz.com/fastpitch/tournam ... Tennessee/ The tournament directors put their personal phone numbers and emails at the bottom of the tournaments, however most won't answer their phones on Friday through start of the tournament. There are several different softball travel ball organizations in Tennessee that focus on travel ball. Typically, you have to join the organization, then you can register for tournaments. In my opinion, the most prominent organization is the USGF (United Southern Girls Fastpitch) http://www.usgfp.com/ In my experience with this league, you play in tournament(s) they call qualifiers. The state is divided into different zones. I think if you play in a qualifier, you are qualified to be in the state tournament from the zones in Pensacola, Florida which is really cool. If any of this is incorrect, please correct me but this is from my experience. Good luck!
