  1. That was in the Commercial Appeal today...guessing Barry Brunetti is the player in question.
  2. In most years I would say you are correct, but White Station put 35 points on MUS. If they can score like that on the Owls they score on Oakland or Riverdale....the problem will be can they stop anyone, as they gave up 55 in that MUS game.
  3. Giving up 35 points to Briarcrest does not bode well for stopping "Barry Brunetti and the RB's".
  4. Mitchell 20 @ Melrose 26 Whitehaven 21 @ White Station 34 Knoxville Webb 17 @ ECS 35 Father Ryan 13 @ MUS 38 Looking back at the past two threads I'm 20 for 20 picking playoff games...24 for 24 has a nice ring to it.
  5. I seriously doubt he has any involvement with the MUS program.
  6. You're banging the MUS drum a little too loud. The Owls have a great shot at another championship, but please tone down the rhetoric.

  9. Baylor @ Memphis University School These teams haven't met since the 2006 playoffs, Baylor was victorious 40 - 21. The last Tennessee team to stay within two touchdowns of MUS was ECS in October of 2008. MUS is +26 in turnover margin for the season. Barry Brunetti has 29 touchdowns(19 passing/10 rushing) with zero turnovers thus far. I think MUS will win this game, but a stiff challenge from Baylor should be expected.
  10. You are going to say I'm wrong and give me one team as an example? And at that, a team that fed their kids steroids during those years. A single team proves your argument false, and I can categorical denounce the steroid rumor, as I was a member of the 94' squad and saw no such behavior.
  11. Not necessarily, Germantown won it all in 03' and was very close in 02' and 94'.

  17. Whoa whoa, while I agree that MUS is probably the most complete high school team in state, it's ludicrous to suggest the Owl's would even compete with a D-1 university. Alcoa has a fine football team and in my opinion is one of the top 3 teams in the state, along with Ensworth and MUS. I think an Alcoa/Ensworth game would be an excellent contest as they share similar styles and strengths, though I give Alcoa a slight advantage due to the fact Ensworth doesn't have a kicking game. The Tornadoes would have a more difficult time planning for MUS, as the Owl's can do it all. They rush and pass with equal skill and have special teams play that is more than adequate. The defense is smallish at the line, but play extremely disciplined football, and have held several of the best backs in the South(Keyshaun Shipp,Nicholas Parker,Jonathan Brown) to modest days. I'm sure it would be a one heck of a ball game, but I believe MUS would come away the victor.
  18. Please take your pathetic attempt to troll elsewhere.
