  1. Trousdale's roster at the beginning of the season listed 33 players, 21 of which were Freshmen (10) and Sophmores(11). Due to different injuries they have seldom dressed over 30 for a game. They play no JV games. Several Freshmen and Sophmores start on Friday night. Trousdale has always dressed Freshmen. Take them off the roster and there would be the 23 that you can't believe!!! Sure, kids would love to have a championship ring, but few are willing to pay the price of long hours and hard work.
  2. And what would you question about the coach if your child was the one that the coach told to take a knee or not give 100% or punt on first down???????
  3. And your team still played in A!!!
  4. Wasn't an excuse, wasn't a justification, simply a question that you didn't answer.
  5. If TC's punter punts his average RBS is pinned about the 5, best case the punt goes in the end zone and the ball is at the 20, if the defense steps up and stops the play RBS gets the ball outside their 40. If you were an offensive coach, which starting position would you prefer?
  6. And what if those dive plays result in a 30 or 40 or 60 or 70 yard run for a TD?
  7. After listening to this argument for a week now, I finally feel compelled to add my two cents worth. Here are some facts from the game. (1) after 7 offensive plays ( 5 rushing and two passing), TC picked up 6 first downs and 2 TD's. The third TD came on a pass interception. The first team offense played one more series, rushing once and throwing three incompletions to turn the all back to RBS. (2) The second (and only other) team took over in the second quarter and scored 35 (not 42 points, one TD was on a putn block, which, by the way was the last time RBS attempted a punt). They were 3 of 5 passing in the second Quarter (3) The second half consisted of 21 offensive plays by TC, 15 rushing for 149 yards and 2 of 6 passing for 50 yards. The 15 rushing plays had 4 carries of more than 20 yards. (4) There were fumbles on Kick-offs, pass interceptions, fumbles on runs that gave TC good field position all night. (5) This whole fiasco seemed to start because of the 47 yard TD pass. It was a flair pass on 4th down completed behind the LOS and run 47 yards. Basically a rushing play. Who's to say that the score would not have been just as bad if TC had run every play? What about the argument that has been on this board many times about on any given night any team can beat any other team? Does that not apply to RBS playing a better second half than the first? Go ahead, butcher me!!!!
  8. Forgot one!!!! (6) Who came out of the region with DCA, FRA, CPA, etc. to take Trousdale's place in the current region??? Can you say FCA???
  9. Just the facts!!!! (1) 5 years ago Trousdale's enrollment mandated that they move to 2A. Therefore there was no running from the so-called ABC schools as they stayed 1A. (2) Trousdale would probably have been in a region with David Lipscomb, Goodpasture, Westmoreland, Smith Co., Jackson Co., Upperman, Cannon Co. (3) Smith, Jackson, Upperman, and Cannon chose to move to 3A. Heard Westmoreland was angry for not knowing about the move. (4) Trousdale chose to move to 3A and renew rivilaries that had been lost over the years with Portland, Macon, Smith, etc. and travel less. The previous years they traveled to Mercer Co., Ky, Mayfield, Ky, Russellville, Ky. and had a team from Alabama come to Trousdale to fill the schedule. (5) New enrollment figures in 2005 put Trousdale County back in 1A. Smith, Jackson, Upperman, Cannon all came back to 2A. Ever wonder why? Just the facts!!!!!
  10. Anything on DCA- Trousdale?????
  11. Any updates on Class A?
  12. Anyone got the score of the Westmoreland-Trousdale game from this afternoon???
  13. DaleJr, You have your tounge around your eye tooth and you can't see what you are saying. By saying Austin deserves the MVP more than Sullins, you ARE saying that Sullins doesn't deserve it. How else can anyone read what you said? Probably 99% of the time the MVP comes from the winning team. There is nothing new to that. If you are talking to me about the refs, I didn't say that they called a perfect game, they seldom do. Yes, I was in Watertown and yes there were many fouls called on both teams. If I remember correctly GHS was shooting one and one shortly after the second qtr started. I also seem to remember that TC had more fouls than GHS in the second half until GHS had to start fouling to have a chance to get back in the game.
  14. I am troubled. Why is it that when an underdog wins a close game it is always luck or the refs or something else that really doesn't figure in. TC took the lead in the second qtr, led by 1 at half, extended that lead to double digits in the second half. Then when GHS had to start fouling, TC missed both shots at the double bonus at least three times to alow the game to get as close as it was. Someone explain it to me!!!
  15. 2's doing fine. Working in Nashville, getting married in the summer. Do you still live at the same place? Would love to get together and talk sometime. Is all of your family okay? Are you coaching? How's your Dad? I'm sure he is excited about the season.
