Congrats to Darius and the offensive line. What a great job! Also, good to see a little passing.

I don't usually say much on these boards, mostly I just like to listen to what people say. Just for the record, I am a parent, a fan, I have not missed a game in 6 years and see most of the practices. I hope that qualifies. As far as Coach Woods and his staff is concerned, you will not find better Coaches, on or off the field. He teaches them alot of things they will not learn in the classroom and it may be that some of the teaching staff at West don't like him because he earns the respect of the players and they seem to have a long way to go in that area. As far as playing kids because of money or because he likes the parents or something, thats just stupid and everyone knows it. If you are upset because your kid is not playing, he needs to work harder. If he wants to start, he needs to work even harder! And if he wants to get a hold of the ball, he better want it more than anything else! I've been upset before about my sons not playing as much as I thought they should, but those Coaches know alot more than I do about how they play football. You have to have some trust in thier judgement and believe they know what they are doing. We have alot of talent on this team and they just need a little time. Mo'west vs. Maryville? Never underestimate your opponent.

Pretty Intense. Been reading posts from Maryville for 3 weeks now and I believe you guys clearly win for trash talking. I enjoy playing Maryville and have yet to actually meet a live Maryville fan that wasn't total class, including the ones I met on the way to State. You have been gracious winners but need some work on how to be gracious losers. We will try to give you some more practice on losing next year. As for Hillsboro, congratulations! You beat us fair and square, played a great game. Would not trade my Trojans for anyone. Mo'west made us proud and we will always be proud of our boys. Will miss all the seniors, they had a great run and personally taught me alot about character. So looking ahead to next year, we have some awesome sophmores and will probably have a better balance to our offense. I believe our defense may not be as good as this year but will still be close. Go Trojans, thanks.

All I can say is what I know for sure. MoWest has all the heart and determination it takes to get to the top. They have gone through some tough times as a team and have emerged stronger for it. I will bet on them everytime. They are great kids and the coaches don't get any better. In the end it always comes down to who wants it more. MoWest wins this.

If "boxers09" can't let off a little steam after all the pages and pages of how Maryville was unbeatable and what was it, 96% thought West would lose, that's just too bad. If you want know about trash talking, go read your own posts for the last two weeks. I for one thought it was a great game on both sides and all that were there were treated to a real experience. Our Defense played lights out and our offense got the job done when it needed to. The 12th man showed up and was heard! Thanks Swain County for your support! Where's the best place to stay in Murpheesboro?

Our defense was incredible! Have to hand it to a very well coached TN Hign. They handled themselves really well, especially when you think about how frustrated they must have been. I agree that the penalties must go, they don't help our focus or the game at all. Need to get some fans out to the game! These boys work awfully hard not to get more support from their community. That includes the Citizen Tribune! What lame reporting for a home town team going into the playoffs. I thought Jefferson City had their own paper and didn't need the Trib to be their biggest fan. Well since there is no one left to write about maybe they can give us some support. Go Trojans!!!!

I'm hopeful West will win it all but it is way too soon to tell. They did not play with as much intensity as they should have against Cherokee. They won, but would have liked to seen more excitement! Cherokee played hard and never gave up. As a West fan I think the Trojans have what it takes, but will definately have to be a bit more motivated than they were last night. By the way, that is a great looking trailer!

Morristown East wins 21-20 over Carter

No freshmen went in at all. 2's and 3's went in for the last 8 minutes. West is always pretty deep and will bring them around for next year. Give the rest of the defense credit too. How about linebackers, Dorning #46, Tackle Chris Long, #92 and CB's Matt Rice#7 and Brad Harris #33 all contributed to the defensive effort. Our offense also stepped up and QB, John Minnick really had a good showing. And what about that catch by #20 Joe Dietz! Enjoyed playing Swain, will look forward to next year. By the way, how far is the casino from Swain?

Looking forward to playing you, Swain Cty. I don't know much about you, but have heard about all your championships and we are gearing up for a tough match-up. I am a big defense fan, our front line is as good as it gets. PeeWee (Brandon Fanney), Caleb Goforth and Chris Long all do a great job. Linebackers Dorning and Frederick are big playmakers. A great game, always a pleasure to play at Maryville. Thought we did very well against a talented team. Our offense just needs to put the points on the board and not just get close. We could do with a win. Go Trojans!

As I said, I heard it from players on the field. I did not personally hear it, did not even know about it until after the game. They said they were saying it before the game got started. I think it is hard to believe, but that is what they said happened.

I was told by players on the field, that this was shouted from the Jeff county fans.
