  2. Craziness. A conversation may have been had, but a conversation does equal a commitment. We can wait a few weeks and see who is coaching at Spring Practice.
  3. It looks like Coach Stevens is going to be a Road Runner after all.
  4. I agree. He is pretty good at football as well.
  5. Pretty sure he is talking about Jemerson (sp?).
  6. He has come into a clean up roll and done well. Another year of maturity will do him good as I see him spelling Ray Ray (Along with West). Team should be super deep next year.
  7. A good win that will help us this coming week. Yea, Carter is a great player. Very special to see guys in High School that you know will do good at the next level. Best luck to Alcoa moving forward.
  8. Agree, we have been saying that all season. But, everyone needs to get the most out of every possession. They (possessions) become more precious as you move through the playoffs.
  9. I am pretty sure Clinton got the cancellation in to play their district game against Anderson County.
  10. No, I think someone posted the score to troll Clinton.
  11. Region 4 tournament is going to be super crazy.
  12. And he can jump through the roof. The fun continues.
  13. Well, having the gang all back sure helps. I think the opposing coaches are having a hard time defensing us. Right now they are tripling #5 inside, but that frees up everyone else. Defensively we are much, much better. However, need to be if we want to go back to State. East Tennessee is deep this year. I would agree that the boys are finding their way without Brennen. Ray Ray and Caden are playing much better and not rushing their shots. I like our chances in the District the way we are playing the past 2 games.
  14. Also, congrats to both the boys and the girls for clenching their respective District Championships and a trip to the region tournament.
  15. It was ugly and we still had a chance to win. We have not come out of the snow break very well. Fortunately, we have some practice days before a busy end to the season. I think we will bounce back.
  16. Good win tonight over Central 83-60. This is easily the deepest team that Aaron Greene has had in his time here. Playing the teams from Atlanta is paying dividends.
  17. From what I saw, yes. But that was true of everyone. Really sloppy play at times.
  18. You would be correct and yes, they had a huge advantage. Even better wins for us.
  19. Agreed! Good things to build on!
  20. I thought we adapted ok, probably better than the Georgia teams. My stance is: once all districts figure out how to pay an extra official to run it, it will happen. However, like I observed in the tournament, it doesn't make for higher scores or better offensive play. In fact, for the most part, the offenses for both us and the other teams were beyond ugly. I shudder to think how awful some of the girl's games will be with a clock. I think 30 seconds is too short as most teams don't have to speed or the length to get into their offensive sets.
  21. i'll take it. Jonesboro was ranked #6 in 6a in GA going into the tournament, so a good quality win for our guys.
  22. Game day! RWR! Beat Clinton! (first things, first). Always hard to beat a rival twice in one season. I think the keys to game are the same as the first time around. Oak Ridge needs to run the football and take advantage of the matchups on the outside. Also, need to start off fast and not look back. Defensively, we need to limit big plays and make Clinton earn their scores and make plays when they are in front of us. I don't see either team having the turnover fest like the first game, but you never know in big games. I expect you will see a confident, driven bunch of Wildcats tonight that will win a very hard fought game.
  23. Agreed. I watched McMinn vs. Walker Valley and it was like watching 2 different teams. Not much energy.
