I'd say there's more competition than usual. You have Powell, Heritage, Sevier, Bradley C., etc. there in the East.

Jackson Co. lost to Ridgeway and Ridgeway has 3 losses. Jackson Co. lost to Greeneville and Greeneville also has 3 losses. I guess that's why Ridgeway is not in 90warriors poll. White Co. may be better than Jackson Co{they may not}. It's hard to say. I can see why 90warrior has them ahead of Jackson Co. White Co. got beat by LA, but the whole team was either sick or recovering from being sick in the game against York{not to take anything away from a good York team}.

J. Gribble is a sophomore that is playing VERY well for White County. He has already scored 26 in a game this season and is starting for the Warriors.

I did go by the schedule on this board myself. I wouldn't count the game if I was LA either. I wasn't able to go to the game because the flu bug swept through my house like it is sweeping across the state.

LA may not be counting the OS game as a defeat. Was it a Hall of Fame Classic game? I don't think you have to count those games if you don't want to.

Greenville may be like White Co. Some years they have the enrollment of a AA school and some years they have just enough students to be considered AAA.

I thought I'd let us get 2 or 3 weeks into the ball season before I put a poll on here. Well, here goes: #1 J. Northside #2 Mt. Juliet #3 Oak Ridge #4 Sevier Co. #5 Livingston Academy #6 Craigmont #7 Gibson Co. #8 Powell #9 Wilson Central #10 Loretto I believe all of these teams are still undefeated. Some of these teams will not make it to the Boro, but for now they are palying well. Only my opinion.

I'm not trying to start anything here, but back when White Co. lost to York a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that just about all of the White Co. girls had the flu and some people were on here saying "excuses, excuses, excuses". All of the sudden Jackson Co. loses and the flu seems like a more legitimate excuse. My point is that the flu does effect scores and outcomes. I hope ALL teams suffering from the flu get better before the holidays.

Good game between 2 evenly matched teams. Key stat:LA was 21 of 22 from the free throw line while White Co. was only 6 of 12. Why did Coach Hess get the technical foul? That's unlike him to get a technical.

Not to take anything from the Boro teams, but I don't think they'll take the top 4 spots in tough Dist. 7-AAA{toughest in the state}.

White Co. will have to play sharper than they did tonight against Seigal if they are going to beat LA. They may have been looking past Siegal tonight. White Co. won 53-30, but didn't play very well. Good luck tomorrow Warriorettes!

showtime7....Shelbyville took several beatings in the 90's themselves from White Co. I guess most people OUTSIDE of Bedford Co. like myself have a dislike{hatred is a strong word} for Shelbyville because they NEVER win with their hometown girls. I guess that's why nobody from Shelbyville seems to like White Co. Because we beat you several times in the early AND mid 90's. When little Rick leaves..........look out!!! If Rick had to use Bedford Co. girls only he would have ZERO state titles.

Do you have any proof that they don't play anybody? Do you go watch the local Oregon and New York teams? I didn't think so.

White Co. freshmen are 7-1. K. Clark is playing some with the varsity. They also have R. Jolly, J.J. Taylor, C. Crain, and others playing good right now.

As a JCHS fan for 30 plus years, Devilfanatic is NOT your typical Lady Blue Devil fan, he/she has stated in previous post that he/she is not JCHS alumni. The Jackson County program is not about DevilFanatic, it is about the players, who are teenagers who work hard to earn a spot in its rich tradition. 99.9% of our fans respect our players and their opponents as well. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!!!! 73.....That's a nice post.

All I know is for the last 10 to 15 years OC and CTK are ranked by USAToday every year. I don't know the number of wins these teams have, but I'm sure if you found a way they would BOTH have more wins than Shelbyville over that anount of time and they may even do it with their own hometown girls.

Shelbyville does not have the #1 program in the country. Oregon City, Christ the King, and of others have better programs. They have lost 3 times already because they were obviously WAY overrated by USA Today. You are almost as bad as 90. Do you see a game outside your county line? Oregon City, Christ the King, they have no where near the teams they had 10 years ago. Wake up and smell the hoops. flemtone....You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Oregon City and Christ the King are ranked EVERY year{unlike Shelbyville} and they are currently #3 and #11 in the country. I'll bet they haven't already lost 3 times either{hehe}. Just go to usatoday.com and look. Next time you post do some research first.

showtime7...I can answer part of that for 90warrior. Which post were you referring to where you think the Bball hall of fame sits in Sparta? White Co. girls have one state championship and 2 runners up{1991+1992}. They were runner up to Shelbyville in 91 and 92. These 2 silver balls are gold to me and most fans here in White Co. because we KNOW we were the best team those 2 years that used ALL of our hometown players unlike Shelbyville with Woosley and the other "out of towners".
