Cookeville wouldn't put WC in their bracket if they hosted a tournament and they certainly wouldn't play WC first. We played a solid RBS team last night and if we beat Baylor tonight we'll play either a solid York team or a VERY solid Souh Gibson team. Hopefully they're all guaranteed wins.
Of course Reed wouldn't guard Flemming, but Reed on the court = more points for WC. If you host a Christmas tourney it would be rather dumb to schedule yourself against the best team in the tournament in the opening round. Duh! It's what host teams do.
True. WC had a double digit lead, but RBS wouldn't give up. Flemming was very impressive for RBS. WC post C. Reed has been out with an injury 2 or 3 games now and will be out until mid January. Her absence definitely hurts WC.
I'm not surprised WC won since we've now won 3 of the last 4 meetings against Upperman. I am surprised at the margin of victory. Good job Warriorettes.
Correct. We were 29-0 and were upset in the region semis by Bradley. We only needed a couple of more wins to get the NATIONAL record for 3's in a season.
Maybe Meigs is better than we think. White County beat them by 17, but Stone who made the state semis last season beat them by only 14. Stone is picked by some as the best in the Upper Cumberland.
If they keep it up they may have a chance at the State record held by White County. That team also had the most threes(31) in a single game. Good luck.
The kid that was on fire in the first half with 27 points caught us off guard. That game isn't indicative of how good we are. Time will tell. I believe WC is absolutely one of the very best in the Upper Cumberland.
