I logged on tonight for one last review of the softball board before logging off for the summer hiatus. I was dismayed to find that the censors had muzzled that little thread of Del's that had been such a pleasant diversion. Since I do not have the option of posting my seasonal farewell on my thread of choice, I will do so here. To Del, Queenie, Fan, Twan and all the good sports and talented writers who made surfing CoachT so enjoyable this year, I say thanks and, Lord willing, we will joust again next spring. To the rabid partisans and humorless butchers of the written language, I also say thanks. Every stew needs a little pepper. To CoachT, I say thanks for this forum and all it's many entertaining and informing services. So until next spring I say farewell to Army jokes, Recipes, Motormouths and Scholars. Dickson has been impressive this year and the bracket thus far has favored them. I do not believe that a one run victory over Oakland qualifies as dominate. I do believe it is another step in a most remarkable journey by the DC squad this year. However I wouldn't place the order for those rings just yet. Soddy awaits.

Del As the attending physician to this thread, I did perform C.P.R. on one or two previous occasions. While I am constrained by virtue of the Hippocratic Oath from allowing this patient to expire without employing resuscitory procedures, I will abide by your decision as the legal guardian of this thread should another crisis occur. I will, however, not assist in the termination of this most enjoyable thread as I do not believe in euthanasia. Should you decide to terminate this thread's life, I would respectfully request that you consider the organ donor program. Del, I think Queenie is right on this one. We could have a "Wall Of Shame" at good old D.A.M.M.I.T. We could have autographed pictures of famous and, yes, infamous announcers lining this wall. I will donate from my personal collection 8x10 glossies of Lynn Swann and O.J. Simpson to the collection. Simpson belongs because he may well be the only announcer in history to get away with murdering the English Language AND his ex-wife.I'm adding Swann to the wall because he sounds like he's gargling marbles when he talks. The Boyd announcer should have a place of honor. After all, would there even have been a D.A.M.M.I.T. without him inspiring you to begin this universally revered and now hallowed thread? Del, Do you, by any chance, allow those egg rolls to be consumed by the general civilian public? If so, perhaps we could work up a "take-out" order form for Coacht subscribers and retail those puppies for 5 bucks each. I can see the ad copy now: "Handmade by Del,honey-glazed by Queenbee, certified kosher by Rabbi Emerod, delivered by Fed-Ex and eaten continuously by Twan and Fan."
