  1. You need to get your facts right and your coach should follow the roster rule for state tournament. The host schools are instructed and the head coaches are told that on a certain number of kids are allowed on the roster, all others have to pay to get in. Head coaches know this up front. If you want to blame someone blame the head coach or tssaa for the rule. The volunteers are just doing what they are told.
  2. Here is the pitching rule for middle school found on the TSSAA website. As for substituting and general rules, your coach needs to contact the TSSAA office and purchase a copy of the NFHS rules book. Hope this helps. http://www.tssaa.org/MiddleSchool/Sports.pdf
  3. You might want to double check, you are the one that is wrong. Do an internet search for world religions and Church of Christ will not show up as a religion. As i said before, Church of Christ is a denomination of Christianity. Same as Baptist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, etc.
  4. Church of Christ is not a RELIGION it is a DENOMINATION
  5. If Matt Tidwell didn't make all-state then i'm not sure how much stock anyone should put in the "all-state" team. Matt is a terrific kid and an extremely talented player
  6. Hunt, fish, and watch football
  7. Jv players would be inelgible unless they moved into another school zone. Jv players are turned in on elgibility lists to the TSSAA just the same as varstiy players.
  8. So does everyone else. Other teams just have veterans in front of the young guys and once they are gone you will see the other schools young talent.
  9. Guys it is a scrimmage. Players are playing right now that will never step foot on the field in a regular season contest. Some guys are still in basketball as well or just got out. Heck, some teams without tarps may have only been on the field one or two times. Not all coaches game plan to win a scrimmage. The fact that you know the scores so well is kind of funny. Still too early to tell. One injury could change everything.

    8-AAA

Columbia will win 8AAA. They are well coached and a very good ball club.
  11. Blackmanpride08 you have absolutely no clue at all as to what you are talking about. I am sure the team would appreciate you keeping your mouth shut and not talking trash that THEY, not YOU, will be expected to back up. No way to predict what will happen in the district. Blackman will play good baseball as will most all teams in 7AAA.
  12. Postponed so that MJ could make up a district game with Smyrna.
  13. The year you are refering to was 1994. They didn't make it in 1995. In 1994 they got beat by Adamsville and Goodpasture. If I am not mistaken he holds the career strikeout record for a career in the state of Tennessee. I don't really see it ever being broke because he played 5 years of HS baseball. He also threw a no hitter his freshman year at MT.
  14. I haven't followed Morgan County baseball in 10 years, but the name Brad Howard sure does bring back some memories. He was a heck of a pitcher and even a better person. Coalfield and Oakdale used to be the teams to beat in the mid nineties. If the format would have been the way it is now with only having to win on Monday and Friday, Oakdale and Coalfield may have gone to the State several years in a row. Coach Lowe and Coach Triplett used to do one heck of a job of getting their teams ready to play.
