  1. The more you post the more ignorant your posts sound. Where do high schools coaches come from? Do they come straight from college, where their major was high school coaching? If you look at all the high school coaches they had to start somewhere. I can give you an excellent example. When I was in Junior High (middle school) there was a coach that coached football. According to you he shouldn't be allowed to coach football let alone coach baseball in high school. The coach I am talking about is Mike Ritz, (probably more wins than anybody in the state, plus 2 state championships). According to you the 2 assistants to Vaughn are more qualified to coach high school. Harrison has forgot more about basketball than these 2 will ever know. I would try to recall you last post, because of how stupid it sounds!!!
  2. COUGAR FANS STILL HERE "JERRY".
  3. Besides the few years Pitts had at SH, how can you say it is a high level of basketball in this area???? If you mean beating the smaller schools in the Big 9 then it is a high level. I have played and watched basketball since the 70's, and I don't see very many gold balls in the trophy cases (especially DB's). The 3 from SH from a talented group and good coach, 1 from Unaka, and 1 from Hampton in the 50's. Is this what you call HIGH LEVEL? As far as Unicoi, they probably play in the weakest AA conference in the STATE, and has yet to get out of the Sub-State. Another one of your high level teams! Maybe the teams DB beat early in the season still had some football players missing, since DB had theirs after the first round. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. Why is it that when DB is in a close game or happens to lose, it's always "THEY PLAY DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL", or they are not playing as a team. Always some kind of excuse. How about maybe "THEY NOT AS GREAT AS YOU THINK THEY ARE". They barely squeaked out wins against Boone, Vol. and was beaten by Central. The Big 9 is as weak as I have ever seen it. I guess it really shows how much the guys from last years DB team was missed.
  5. Man, you came to cap's rescue mighty quick. I guess the saying is probably right in line for you too. I don't remember any of you posts saying you were on the floor, unless you were the manager!!!!!. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> As far as Central, this starts with the Coach. I have watched Central games since Vaughn has coached, and have never seen him let a kid have this much freedom on the floor. You got to remember these senior parents and players has seen Vaughn coach for 4 years or more, and has never seen a kid treated like this. Even POY Buchanan, Weatherford, Hess and the list could go on, never got this much special treatment, and they are head and shoulders better than any player on this years team. In my opinion, its not the kids fault. The coach has complete control of his team, whether it is good or bad.
  6. I really don't see what parents have to do with the situation of the Central team. This should be between the players and coaches. You are the very one to talk about throwing gas on the fire (on this board). I heard a quote a little while ago. If you can't play basketball, "YOU COACH", if you can't do either you "REF", and in your case if you cannot do either of these, YOU POST ON COACH T. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  7. Plain and simple "Central was about as expected", if guards play good they play with anybody in the conference and they did tonight. They need to revise the pre-season predictions Science Hill is better at this time of the year than DB. This years DB team cannot be compared to last. Morgan only played 7 players Halvoreson and McConnell couldn't throw one in the ocean(Centrals defense had something to do with that). I wonder how AA feels to lose back to back games at the Cougar Dome. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  8. A little testy there aren't you "Ron B". A lot of basketball to be played, before anyone plays on down the road.
  9. Read your post again. Why single out Carl, he's a good kid I don't care what his mom does. If you're as old as you say, I would hate to see the program you coached. As you said in your last post, your friends must be just like you if they enjoy this. You have got the wrong kid when your talking about Ivy League. Maybe you will try to find out who he is and bash him. That is your style. As I remember you're the one who doesn't think JH from Holston is a good coach. There seems to be a connection with some of your remarks. Keep posting and you will reveal who you are. I've got a good idea who you are. boola boola "ACT YOU AGE".
  10. Only an adult jerk from "let me guess" HOLSTON VALLEY would post something as childish as this. It's different when kids get on here and say things about other kids, this is different. I remember you from basketball and know you are a Central hater. Don't get on here and say anything about kids. I know Carl and what kind of kid he is. If you don't have anything good to say about "any" kids, Just keep you trap shut!!!

  12. I have followed this board and everyone knows I pull for Central. I also have read the majority of your posts and have determined that you are probably a ref. (probably in Region 1). By your post it looks as if you took enjoyment in Central getting eliminated. Even CAP 1 (and by the way I appreciate it Cap) didn't even rub it in as you did in your post. Brock has let it be known several times on this board that his brother was on the team and was a Senior. Maybe you should have been at the locker room, when the 4 Seniors came out knowing it was the last game they would be wearing a Central uniform. Being a referee and taking enjoyment in this, makes me wonder what kind of SORRY person you are. Also, by the posts you know Brock. If you have this much animosity toward Central and him "knowing he had a brother on the team", maybe this should be pursued further.
  13. I found this picture in an annual of mine. This may reveal how old I am. This is a picture of DB and Central in the District championship game. Dan Moody hit a shot from almost half court with 3 seconds to win this game and Central fans poured onto the floor. This was the biggest rivarly in high school basketball. Notice all the fans sitting around the floor with the legs hanging over the rail. I doubt if we ever see that again. Skunk, are you old enough to remember this?
  14. East got beat by DB by 33, quit CRYING about the ref's!!!!
  15. I could see that if the score was a little closer, "but 33 points"!! And according to Skunk, East shot more ft's than DB. Get real.
