Has anyone considered that the glue that held that program together for 9 years left the program last year. It is not a secret that Seals was the one that made sure that the players were in line. Yes the offense scored points but how many times did the offense put the defense in bad situations. I don't care if u are playing with the baltimore ravens if u give an offense the ball on the 10 yards line because of a fumble or a terrible punt then heck they are gonna store. Lets not put all the blame on one side of the ball. i believe the defense has been consistent for the last 10 years and has won their fair share of games over the last 4 years.

eastfan get a clue about the game of football. East did play zone the whole game and coach d is an excellent coach. you can be the greatest db in the history of the game but with no pass rush you become very average very quick. If you have followed morristown east football over the past 5 years as you say our pass defense has been very good. When teams cannot run the football passing yards will obviously be higher because that is all they are doing. Karns had a good plan but a win is a win. The most improvement on a football team is between the first and second game. Good luck this week

Blazer #52 by your screen name I would guess that you play for Daniel Boone. Well the last time I checked you did not even make the playoffs. So instead of getting on here and bashing MoEast why don't you try to do something to try and help your team make the playoffs. You could not beat East on a year in which East lost two all-state players preseason. So Blazer #52 quit bashing MoEast and worry about DB because last time I checked you turned your equipment after game #10. P.S. If you were at the game you would have seen that the score was 26-21 late in the third quarter until two turnovers. One turnover on our 10yd line and a interception for a TD.

I would be cautious predicting a conference championship. I think West will be good as always and Morristown East has become the darkhorse in the conference. East has about 80 kids out for track. Should be really strong but only time will tell. Good luck to all teams in the IMAC

First of all Coach Seals did not know about the west film man being on top of the press box. I know him and he would not put up with that type disrespect. If all he was doing was practicing why did he not go to another game and film it or film practice for west. Get real people West has always thought they were better than East and still feel that way. Yes they have had the advantage the last few years but i feel that east is gaining ground quicky on west. Good luck to both schools in the playoffs

I dont think your comment about Volunteer playing against awful defenses is accurate. I think Morristown East held them to 83 yards total offense. I believe that East has the second best defense in the conference behind west. Remember that come week 9

Both players have been released from the hospital. Neither player will play this week.

You idiot last years game went to 4 overtimes. At the end of regulation the score was 14-14. Forgot to play defense my ######. It is real easy to score from the ten yard line. Which is where you start in each overtime period and if I recall right East got the usual Dumplin Valley screwing

Get real buddy were you watching the same scrimmage that I saw against Mo. East. I believe the final was 21-7. Your offense went down and scored on the first drive and after that you did not pass the 50 yard line, with the series beginning at the 30. Do not try to hype yourself up. The offensive line was so fat and slow that they could not play more that one series without being out of breath.

East will be the team to beat in the IMAC. Good host of returning players with a new coach. East has the best quarterback and runningback in the conference with ramsey and dockery. The defense will be solid as usual. If key players can stay healthy look for a big year out of the Canes.

What is the attitude in the community and on the football team. I know that Seals is well respected among other coaches and the kids that played for him love him. I have talked to many members of the community who feel that East high has taken a step backwards in developing a consistent program. Seals was the best canidate for the job maybe not by his resume but most resumes are a dog and pony show if you know what I mean. I hope that Seals stays but I highly doubt that he will. I would not be surprised if he does not leave but does not coach. Coach Hatcher needs seals more than seals needs hatcher.

How is Seals inmature around the boys. I know kids who play for East and they love him. Is it wrong for a coach to have a relationship with the kids besides what the athlete can do for the coach on the field. I think that you have been given bad information. Have you ever played for Coach Seals or are you one of those so called know it alls. There seems to be a whole lot of football coaches in Morristown or they seem to think so. I wish seals the best and east high school is going to lose an outstanding person and coach.

Mo East was horrible. I beg to differ with you. I think East was average but horrible is stretching it alittle bit. If East was so horrible how did they only lose to Mo West 21-12. Let me guess Cosby would have played them a better game. Give me a break. Just because you win a couple of games in your region does not give the right to judge other conferences. I can count 5 loses that you would have had in our conference. Mo East, Mo West, Greeneville, Boone and Cherokee. Granted you probably would have beated Cocke Co. and Crockett. So before you start running your mouth about Mo East and the Five Rivers Conference you better not write a check that your ###### can't cover.

The game ended last night at about midnight with East winning the game 38-7 which gets East into the playoffs for the 3rd consective year. We had 2 one hour delays which pushed the game back about 2hrs
