WV was up almost 30 at the half on Grundy and dropped back and played zone the second half with everyone getting to play.

Bradley played riverdale in a scrimmage day a few weeks ago and got beat 62-17 or something like that. Nobody from 5AAA will make it to state.

If it was a 4 point game, that's a shocker in itself.

If that's true, I would hate it for the kids already on the team , not to mention its illegal.

A new point guard wouldn't make that much difference.

If you knew how the Miss Basketball award really worked you would be shocked. You have to lobby the other coaches to vote for your kid. If you dont have many "friends" in the coaching ranks you wont win it. Some coaches wont vote for a kid simply because they may be on a rivals team. It should be stats and performance based and picked by a panel that doesnt involve current coaches. Right now some of the best players dont always win or even get enough votes for final nominations.

As far as Cleveland, The Jury is still out. I would rather have the feeling that a team was going to be better than last season,play till Jan. and see how they have done. Some better teams in the state in years past havent even made it out of district or region because of upsets. I do feel in the next 2 years you will see much more balance across the state in talent level with not many "super" teams in AAA ball. State tournament this year will have some new faces and even more the next season.

Bradley had a team full of seniors last year that have moved on to college. They still will have good post play but may lack the same guard play. Who would want to be in a top 10 poll in October?

They dont have the scoring they had last season. Yes i agree..very disappointing.

I like Cleveland's chances in the championship game. Walker valley had the lead for awhile in that game against Bradley playing 9th and 10th graders,BCHS had only scored 6 or 8 points the whole first quarter. They did not look like a championship caliber team to me. CHS will match up experience wise and size wise allot better. If they use the same strategy they might pull off an upset. Even if that dont happen, I cant see BC beating a 1 or 2 seed outta the boro. I will pull for BC being a SE TN team though. All the games have been very exciting.Cheap entertainment except for the drive down.

Having 4 or 5 seniors on the team will help more than anything. No seniors again this season. They have a lot of underclassmen and in AAA ball that usually means losses.

How many Jr's and Seniors does Walker Valley have? I was told only 2 jr's was dressed and played and the rest were all 9th and 10th graders cuz the rest are hurt. Central played Central Bball, coach pressed till the end of the 3rd .

Walker Valley defeats Red Bank tonight 56-38 . Red Bank has a undersized yet strong post player, maybe the best out of Chattanooga/Hamilton County I have seen at that position.

WV doesnt have many players (playmakers) on the field, but they may have more than CHS. From an outside view, CHS just doesnt have many athletes on the field. I am not sure changing coaching staffs will fix that. Dub-V by 3.

Cleveland has had it's fair share of bickering, to the point that players have chose to go to other schools. It can be between players or parent's. Playing time or jealously about who get's to score a TD.
