  1. Typical Maryville fan. I never accused Maryville of being scared. I simply stated that you and SC never were willing to schedule each other. Now go away, I am busting DB's chops right now
  2. Hey WackoJacko, let's getting rolling! Bwahahaha
  3. Rivalry? Really? More like recruiting opportunities. WB and Heritage could consolidate and not even be competitive most years. These are not rivalries. Proximity does not make a rivalry. Notice I did not include Alcoa. That is a rivalry
  4. I disagree. For years, Maryville played sub par William Blount and Heritage teams in non district games and said it was for "community" reasons. Sevier Co. would play Seymour for the same reason . A mute point now of course, but for years this occurred .
  5. This should be a good game. These 2 teams have ducked from playing each other for years. Now, they meet. Let's get it on! Wish DB were here!! BwHahahHhahA!
  6. Motown, you are wasting time argueing with this moron. He predicted West to beat Farragut and said they would be Maryville's toughest test. A 30-7 beat down proved that to be false. Knoxville teams think they are the only teams that play good football. At 7 pm on Friday the truth will come to light.
  7. Well, it is the second week of November, which means football season is over in Kingsport! What a comeback by Sevier Co. and a supreme choke job by DB. SC can really score fast, but DB fumbling inside the SC 20 with a chance to win is awful. Anyway, the IMAC has 2 teams in the quarterfinals. SC will play at Maryville in 6A while Morristown West will host Knox West. Friends tell me Mo. West looked totally dominant at times in the game with East and awful at other times to make it a game. They will need a complete effort this week. Go IMAC!
  8. Round 2 of the playoffs. No Jeff. Co. football but still 3 IMAC teams alive. Unfortunately, 2 will play each other. At least we will have a team in the quarters. Sevier Co. vs Dobyns-Bennett - SC returns to the scene of there only loss, a 1 point loss on a missed extra point (@#$% kickers). I think SC goes back and gets revenge in a close game. Mo. East vs Mo. West - East definitely will have the shortest distance of any "away" team in the second round (about 20 yards). This game was an instant classic the first time around. Seeing them play Jeff back to back weeks, they both were impressive. I think West is better, but this game will be a war! I am taking West by 1. Best of luck to all teams. Stay safe!!
  9. I was proud of the Patriots after halftime. They had rolled over in those situations before. Fought DB tooth and nail in the 2nd half. DB is a good team and may beat SC this week. I was shocked by the SS and SD score, but the conditions looked bad. Hardin Valley really put a scare in Sevier Co. before the Bears pulled one out. Mo East and West cruised by Cherokee and Cocke Co. The rematch will be intense. Overall the IMAC went 3-4 in the 1st round, but 2 of the losses were in rematches. Personally, a 4-1 week. Will give my predictions later in the week.
  10. IMAC playoff predictions sure to go wrong. It is a shame that 4 of the Imac teams have to play again in the first round. (6)Hardin Valley @ (3)Sevier County - IMAC champ SC will get a win over a team from west Knoxville...finally! SC by 20+ (8)Cocke County @ (1)Morristown West - Rematch of week 9 game that was a blowout. Not much changes in 2 weeks! West by 20+ (5)Cherokee @ (4)Morristown East - Rematch of early season shootout. I think East has done more improving than Mobuck. East by 14 (7)Jefferson County @ (2)Dobyns-Bennett - Oh No! Anybody but this bunch of a@#$%^&*! DB but not by as many as most think (6)South Doyle @ (3)Sullivan South - Best game involving IMAC team. SD will score (weather really hurt them last week)but can they hold SS. SD wins and plays Knox West next week! Go IMAC
  11. What a great year for the IMAC. 7 of the 8 teams finished .500 or better and 7 will make the playoffs. That is incredible! Great job by the players and coaches of the teams. Good luck in the playoffs. Represent the IMAC well!!
  12. These guys crack me up. Mo. West has played aschedule with 9 teams that had .500 or better records. These boys need to look past column 2 on the spreadsheet. Powell has played 4 teaams with winning records and their opponents won a total of 34 games. Powell may be (and I stress may) a paper Panther. Jeff. Co. is in. The IMAC conference has Sevier Co. and Jeff. Co. in 6A playoffs. Also, Mo. West , Mo. East, Cherokee, Cocke Co. and South-Doyle in 5A. FOr you math challenged folks, that is 7 of the 8 teams in the playoffs.
  13. Actually, I did not like Kisabeth running up scores in the 80s, but most of the time the backups scored some of the points. MOST OF THE TIME I stress. I put most of the blame on us as I said in the post. I felt like our team checked out early. I have moved on though. My picks went 2-2 last week, congrats to the Seymour Eagles on their upset over Cherokee. Says a lot about the coaches and players for Seymour that they did not just mail it in for the rest of the season. Time for week 10 picks (is it really over?). Mo. East vs Sevier Co. - What looked to be a forgone conclusion now has conference title implications. SC wins the IMAC with a win. An East win coupled with a West loss would give East the title (ironically East could do West a huge favor with a win). I think SC will score enough to win but East is really rolling on the ground. Seymour vs Mo. West - West will lock up a one or two seed in the playoffs with a win. Seymour showed some fight last week, but the Trojans ain't Mobuck. Trojans win comfortably. Cherokee vs Cocke Co. - Both of these teams are coming of losses, and both beat JC by 1 point. CC needs the win to get in the playoffs, Cherokee can possibly host a game with a win. A close game, but I think CC finds a way at home. South Doyle vs Jeff. Co. - A possible trip to the playoffs and Senior Night for JC. Momentum and possibly hosting a playoff game for SD. A lot is on the line in Dumplin Valley. Surely JC will not lose to SD. Come on Patriots, get it done. JC in a close battle!! There are my final regular season picks. Let's hope for a 4-0 week. Momma needs shoes!!
  14. I have been a Patriot all my life and will be a Patriot forever. I have seen us win the State title, lose 2 other championship games, and be about as bad a football team that can play. I have never seen a bunch of kids have to fight so many emotions to play as I did last night. That being said, I really felt like our kids checked out last night after the kickoff return. In life, you have to keep fighting no matter the situation. I hope to never see this kind of effort again by a JC team. As for East, you are a classless bunch and will never be anything more than runners up in your own city.
  15. Blind squirrel? Get your facts straight. Jeff Co owned Oak Ridge the entire decade of the 80s. That win was in the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs on the way to a state title. Know your facts big boy
  16. While we are all going back to our favorite Oak Ridge memory, mine was a few years before. In 1987, the Wildkitties came to Jeff Co. and got it handed to them 51-0. AHH, the good ole days!!
  17. Unfortunately I had internet connection problems last week (#@$% ATT), so I could not post my picks. I went 4-0 I promise! West really thumped the Patriots and looked impressive in doing it. My boys in Dumplin Valley may not win again this year because East and SD are rolling. Sevier is dominant and will not be beat in the conference. Cocke Co. really has disappointed since beating Jeff and must beat either West or Cherokee to get in the playoffs. How good does it look that the IMAC has only 1 team (Seymour) below .500 for the year. Good year of football in the IMAC. Let's look to week 9 (wow time flies); South-Doyle vs Sevier Co. - SD is having a good year and are probably going to make the playoffs, but they will not win this one. Sevier Co. wins by whatever they want to!! Cherokee vs Seymour - Cherokee blows out the Eagles and solidifies their playoff spot. Seymour starts looking to next year. Morristown West vs Cocke Co. - West really looked good last week at Jeff. They better pack their A game again because Cocke Co is fighting for their playoff lives. West wins in a close tough game. Jefferson Co. vs Morristown East - Jeff. Co. must win this game if they are to make the playoffs IMO. Leaving it to week 10 is not a good plan. East is rolling and Ricker is a beast. Jeff. Co. circles the wagons and gets it done. Let's hear it. Again you can disagree and be wrong

  19. I am still in shock from last nights game. I cannot believe CC went 60+ yards in less than 1 minute to beat the Patriots. What a game on TV between East and West. SC dominated Seymour. My worst week yet at 2-2 in conference picks. This week is the defacto championship game with Sevier Co playing Mo. West. Here are my picks: Jeff Co vs Cherokee- Got to believe the Patriots bounce back this week against Mobuck. They better stop Ryans. If not, then we will lose again. Injuries are starting to get the better of us. Jeff by a whisker SD vs Cocke Co.- CC will be playoff eligible after this game. Hard to believe. East vs Seymour - East played inspired vs West. Can they keep it up? I think they win this game and make a run at the playoffs. It will not be easy. SC vs West- West looked bad last week and SC is really good on offense. I don't think the Trojans can match the Bears offensively. SC wins the conference Feel free to debate! Go Patriots
  20. Well, I got the close game right, but congrats to South- Doyle on the win. It is rivalry week in the IMAC. Seymour vs Sevier Co., Jeff vs Cocke, Mo. East vs Mo. West. The only nontraditional rivalry will be Cherokee at SD. Here are my thoughts. Mo. East vs Mo. West (Thursday)- East is 2-3 but undefeated in the IMAC. West is 5-0. This game is usually close and competitive. I just don't think East can run the ball well enough on West to win. West by 8. Seymour vs Sevier Co. - This one will get ugly fast. Jeff had little trouble with Seymour and Sevier dominated Jeff. Sevier will win by 20+. Cocke vs Jeff - For the first time in a while I think Cocke Co. may have a competitive team. Jeff is dealing with the injury bug a little, but I think they still win. Jeff by 10 Cherokee vs SD - Mobuck makes the long trek to Knoxvile to take on the Cherokees. Because of the trip, I am taking SD in an aerial battle. SD by 3 Let the arguments begin!!
  21. With tonight's JC open date, I had to go watch my wife's nephew play for Grainger Co. I thought maybe I would see some good football with Pigeon Forge being ranked last week before Fulton game. I was wrong. PF is not good at all. Grainger Co. may be the worst team ever assembled. A good team would beat them by 50 on accident. I really thought I would see more from PF. A couple of nice players but not a very good team. Not sure how they beat Gibbs. They will get blown out by AE and GP. The schedule is mighty friendly
  22. Dang, seeing this score makes me wonder...how good is Mo. West?
  23. A 3-1 week, Cherokee let me down against East and may have cost themselves a playoff shot in the process. No really big surprise, but Jeff. Co. losing Smiley to a knee injury will hurt them. This week only South-Doyle will play Carter. The next week is rivalry week in the IMAC. This week's game I will take Carter in a close game against SD.
  24. 8-0 in games last week. Not bad. Too bad Vegas does not have an IMAC board. Apparently there were 2 great games between the powers of district 1 and 2. SC losing by 1 point at DB and Mo West beating Science Hill at the buzzer. Let's look at this weeks games: Cherokee vs Mo East - 2 teams going in opposite directions. East is really struggling and Cherokee has its offense rolling. Cherokee keeps East skidding. Mo West vs South-Doyle - SD seems much improved, but they get a big test this week. West is rolling and will keep it going this week. Sevier Co. vs Cocke Co. - A battle of 3-1 teams that will get ugly quick. CC has beaten nobody, no one, and no count. SC will win big. Seymour vs Jeff. Co. - The Patriots have been a pleasant surprise this year and will run their record to 4-1 because Seymour cannot stop anyone. Let the discussions begin. Feel free to disagree and be wrong!!!
