  1. After the first week of league games, it appears that the that the usual suspects will be at the top. Mo. East and West as well as Sevier Co. all had impressive wins. Cherokee appeared to be ready to take that step, but West showed them what it is about. My Patriots were shown what it takes to be a contender on the 6A level. Most teams face their last out of district games. Let's look at those and predict. Jeff. Co vs William Blount-Blount beat Knox Central but has been beaten by Sevier Co and Beardan. The common opponent in Sev. Shows this could be a great game. I think the Pats win a close one Mo. East vs Knox West- East won last week over South-Doyle, but the West team is not SD. West wins this one but it will be close. Mo. West vs Science Hill-West beat Greeneville who beat Science Hill. West will win in a good game. South-Doyle vs Heritage- Which Heritage team shows up? The one that lost to Jeff and LC or the one that beat HV. It will not matter, SD gets the W. Cocke Co. vs Davy Crockett- Crockett used to be the doormat of the IMAC. They still would be. Cocke Co. Goes to a surprising 3-1. Cherokee vs Volunteer-Cherokee wins Rogersville, and it will not be close. Volunteer is pitiful. Sevier Co vs Dobyns Bennett-Battle of unbeaten 6A powerhouses. Game is in Kingsport so I give the edge to DB, but Sevier Co. is very good and it would not surprise me 1 bit if they win. Seymour vs Carter- The Eagles can score, but can they stop anyone? Carter is good this year so I think they win this one in a wild shoot out. There are my predictions, let the arguing begin!
  2. When I played way back in the 80s Cherokee was always the dirtiest most "red neck" team we played. Watching them through the years, this has not changed. Kids change but the one constant is Sivert. Something must be done. I am not at all surprised by his teams actions, they have done it for years
  3. This weeks match-ups and predictions sure to go wrong: Jeff Co vs Sev Co - both undefeated and looking good. Winner has early track to title. Winner - Jeff Co by 7 Mo East vs South-Doyle - East got going a bit last week, SD got a win week 1. Winner - East by 4 Cherokee vs Mo West - another battle of 2-0 teams. Mo West looked great in beating Greeneville, but Cherokee can score. Winner - West by 14 Seymour vs Cocke Co - both teams come off loses last week. Look for CC to make a statement. CC by 7
  4. After 2 weeks of action, the IMAC is looking pretty good. Jeff Co is 2-0 with wins over Heritage (who beat Hardin Valley) and a very skilled TN High team. Morristown West is also 2-0 and beat Fulton bad and Greeneville (which makes them a lot of people's favorite team this week). Sevier Co. has 2 impressive wins, as does Cherokee. The race for the crown looks to be wide open. East is 0-2 and the only winless team in the conference, but they did get the offense going against Bearden.
  5. You jack wads from GREENEVILLE get on here and run your mouths and teoem want to whine about class. Please
  6. You jack wads from GREENEVILLE get on here and run your mouths and teoem want to whine about class. Please
  7. Greeneville I regret to inform you, you lost a close game and got your azz kicked in the process. This from an elated Jeff Co fan. I love it when you lose
  8. After the first week of games, the IMAC looks to be up this year. Every team is 1-0 except Morristown East. I am not sure about the strength of teams played. I think East probably had the toughest opening opponent by far. Next week will provide a better test for several teams. Jeff plays TN high and the already mentioned West versus Greenville match- up.
  9. No harm intended , but Coalfield is a weaker A team. No reason a AAA or AAAA SChool should play them
  10. I do not think many coaches want to risk injuries in the jamboree. Nothing like losing a kid for the season in a meaningless quarter of football like Vaughn Reeves did my senior year. All it is is a money maker for somebody.
  11. Just got the high school preview book and read about PF. With their absurdly easy schedule, they should win at least 7 games. They play some of East TN worst teams. Coalfield, Wartburg, Union Co., Cosby, and Grainger cannot play a lick. Gibbs will be down as well as GP. What kind of schedule is this? I guess Hancock Co. and TSD were already full. Hammonds should be ashamed he put together this schedule. Play somebody
  12. Any updates on scrimmages for IMAC teams?
  13. Where do these officials come from. They were awful both ways. Over 20 penalties called. Neither teams offense could find a grove because of it. Both defenses dominated the game with most of the game played on Seymour's end.
  14. I hate to hear about DK and Goins, but injuries are apart of this game unfortunately. No excuses, somebody has to step up!
  15. And the offense and defense!! This team needs to get it going. They are very talented and can win big. Lets go Big Blue!!
  16. The IMAC teams come back into league play for the second time this week. IMAC teams did not fair well last week with East and Cherokee being the only teams to post a win (and that was against Volunteer). It looks to be down year as IMAC teams struggle out of conference. Here is a look at week 2. Morristown East at Cherokee - East is coming of a big win against Cleveland. Mobuck is at home and always play tough at home. East in a close one by 3 South-Doyle at Moristown West - West continues to confuse me. Beat AE and then lose to Central and Science Hill? SD is coming off an open date, so they may have a surprise or two for the Trojans. West will win this one but still have SC and JC on the horizon. West by 14 Cocke Co. at Sevier Co. - Coming off two losses, the Bears wilhave a nice chicken dinner. Cocke Co. is 0-3 and has not played anyone near the caliber of Sevier Co. SC by 35 Jefferson Co. at Seymour - JC must get the engines going and keep them going. Seymour at home will put up an early fight, then JC rolls. JC by 28 Just my thoughts and predictions sure to go wrong!
  17. I don't know what the deal is, but I know it is very frustrating. Now go away Barb
  18. 1 step forward ... 2 steps back. As good as the SC win was, this loss was as bad
  19. Ok guys, you all have a thread to discuss SD only issues (you all had some Jeff Co. boys down there trying to help you but they are now gone). Let's discuss this weeks games for IMAC teams. Last week on nonconference games for most. Starting from the top: Morristown West - a tough road test @ Science Hill. New stadium and new coach seems to have the Toppers riding high. West needs to win this one for IMAC pride. Jefferson Co. - may have uncorked a big ol can of whoop - - - for the rest of the year last week. JC needs to focus on William Blount this week for momentum. Seymour - good win last week against Cocke Co. Travels to Heritage for a border battle. Go Eagles! Morristown East - tough home game against Cleveland. Could be a high scoring affair. East needs a victory Sevier Co. - toughest game of the week against Kingsport DB. Bears must rebound in a hurry. SC needs to win for more IMAC pride over the tricities bunch. Cocke Co. - yet another chance for IMAC dominance. Cocke Co. has got to start winning these kind of games to get back in the right direction Cherokee - battle of Hawkins Co. at Volunteer. Mobuck needs to rebound if they have a chance to make a run South - Doyle - open (at least the streak gets a break)
  20. Barb, you are just like hemmeroids. Every time we think you are gone, you flare back up. GO AWAY and play little boy football. I cannot express how proud of the JC program I am. Not because they won a game, but because they gave a JC effort
  21. Wow, what a night in Dumplin Valley. Great effort by the Pats to beat SC. SC is a good football team and will be a force in the IMAC. Mo East, like bigguy said, roasted SD for their first win. Mo West beat Cherokee 35-13. Seymour beat Cocke. Co. bad. Kind of a surprise at how bad. Best of luck out of conference next week
  22. I echo the comments of dvp. Great job, now keep it rolling
  23. First of all Barb, this is a Jeff Co board so we need 0 comments from a Gville jacker. You cannot tell me that if the Devils had been struggling for a couple of years and lost their first 2 games by a lot that you and your Gville special ed grads would not be calling for Ballard's head. Secondly, no one has suggested removal of Anderson to my knowledge. Third, go to visit the devil himself!
  24. Come on Bigguy, I was trying to show SD some love. Why so negative towards the Cherokees?
