  1. Recruiting guru Andre Whitehead; Tennessee Prep Hoop, Hoopscoop Online, Hoopmasters, Bob Gibbons All-Star Report, Tony Thompson; Final Four Recruiting, among others who will be attendance this weekend at the Tennessee Thunder Evaluation Showcase. 2. But, they beat your 17's on a neutral court. Didn't the Thunder beat your 16's by what 13 to 14 points and if wasn't for Matt S. (M'boro Stars) they would have beaten them by even more points. Next excuse please!!! Also, your 16's would lose easily to TN. Travelers 16's, TN. Mavericks 16's and the Nashville Stallions 16's, and a few of the state's top 15U teams IMHO. Also, you fail to mention that this year 17U state was the weakest ever. It feature three 16U teams, a TN. Zags team who's tallest player was what 6'2 to 6'3 at best, a Nashville Stallions team that played it's worst ball of the summer and the TN. Travelers second 17U team. Where were the state's top 17U teams and players this past weekend, such as the TN. Travelers, M'boro Stars, Team Angels, etc.?
  3. Once again AFO, You should obtain facts before you post. Your ignorance is starting to define you as a person. Let's say the SEAAU book the refs, and let's say they come from across the state. Who's do you think will pay for their lodging and transportation? The teams will. So, instead of paying the normally entry fee you are looking to pay $500.00 plus dollars to enter a sub-state. So now, do you see why when you advance to the Nationals the enter fee is what $600.00 dollars or so. BTW, the proper people are aware of who's refereeing each game, therefore you should not the facts for posting.
  4. AFO, THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!!! If this was the case wouldn't all their players be jumping ship and leaving for different organization. Since you don't know!!! A high majority of the players involved in the Thunder organization have been involved within the organization for two or more years. Some you thought would leave because of you, which wasn't the case! Some you thought would attend Houston with you which they didn't! THE PROOF!!! 15U team-11 out of 14 returnees (minus you, and two others that chose to something different). 16U team-12 out 14 returnees (one playing with another team, one chose to play football only). 17U team-8 out of 12 returnees (one rejoin the team recently, one is a All-State football player and chose to focus on it, the other two chose specialize camps). The way I count it, that's somewhere around 80%. The 9U thru 14U teams returnee's % are even better. So, with your post does this mean that 80% of these parent's and player's are WHAT! But, since you where not a coach or involved in the organization you wouldn't not know. BTW, 90 percent of the coaching staff returned too. NOW LET'S COMPARE!!! How many different AAU basketball organization have you been involved with over the last five plus years? 2005 SE Elite, 2004 Tennessee Thunder, 2003 Collin's Tigers, 2002 your own (special reasons), 2001, 2000, and Jr. Pro. just to boot. So, who has the better TRACK RECORD!!! Now, for the so call fight in Gallatin. You wasn't there! If you where, you would have known their wasn't one. Not one punch was thrown, just a few teenage kids on both teams getting excited trying to prove their manhood. These two team played each other this weekend in a hard fought battle in which the Thunder happen to win. The players and coaches on both teams have a great deal of respect for each other and have had an ongoing rivalry for at least five years with no other incident. AFO, since you also don't know, when you spread gossip and hearsey it would help if you had the FACTS! But since you have no CREDITABILITY I understand. JUST A THOUGHT Your bitterness is not only with the Tennessee Thunder organization it's within yourself. Maybe, some stability in you life would help you. Anyway, I compare your jealousy and hatered to cancer. Hopefully, one day there's a cure.
  5. Tennessee Thunder beat SE Elite in overtime by one point. Antioch's freshmen Michael Williams hit a three pointer to tie the game and La Vergne's freshmen Marcus Jefferson made one of two free throws to seal the victory. What a game!!! I think these two team will meet again in the championship game.
  6. AFO, Did SE Elite play in Houston. If so, you haven't posted anything about it. Normally you tell us everything. Does this mean they didn't do well? Y/N.
  7. I'm not so sure about that TnBball. I think the qualified procedure you are stating is when a club has a automatic bid from the previous year. Such as the Mid-State Ballerz 17's, Tennessee Thunder 16's (17U age group), Franklin Rage 17's, Vintage Sports 16's, YOMCA/Memphis Magic's 16's just naming a few clubs that come to mine. And, If I'm not mistaken I think if your club qualify through a super regional (Southeast Elite 15's) you receive a bid to the nationals. I remember last year several clubs attended super regionals and receive bids to the nationals after the sub-states and state tournaments, while many other clubs attended Division II national tournaments and earned automatic bids to the Division I nationals (Franklin Rage 17's).

  11. The tournament will be played at LaVergne High School.
  12. Cobra24, 1. That's the reason why they play a championship, consolation, and sometimes 5th/6th place games. 2. I have seen teams finish as low as 6th in their sub-state and participated in state and national tournaments because other clubs chose not to participate. 3. I could be wrong, but I don't think clubs have hosting rights during the sub-states and state tournaments, hosting rights only applies to clubs hosting national tournaments.
  13. Barring a few upsets, the Tennesse Tigers and Bellevue War Eagles will battle for the 13U State Championship. The Tigers had added a few players that will get them over the hump. The 13U Tigers are participating in some tournaments in the 14U age group. And, I hear that the Tigers are going to participate in the 14U Sub-State tournament in Lynchburg.
