I think the 2a representative will again come out of this region. Huntingdon, Westview, Union City winner will probably be coming out of the west.

Any truth about a couple football players fighting out onto the floor at basketball the other night? Idk if it’s true, but wanted the truth from someone who was there.

Westview is just about unstoppable. QB play is top notch, but their WRs are just about as good. And they finally have decent line play and a hungry defense, both have been lacking for awhile.

West Carroll may squeak in the top 10, and Greenfield has had back to back interesting seasons.

This⬆️, plus they had their best lineman tear ACL early in the season, and I heard multiple linemen were out because of online Ed (WCS wouldn’t allow them to play). Also their losses the last two years have been Milan, Covington, SGHS, 1a state champion, and Ensworth.. They suffered from playing in the best 3a district in the state, and couldn’t compete up front. Simpson could play at any HS in the nation, but he has all the offers he needs.

Kids who live on the border of school zones. Usually they can justify going to either school. Once upon a time these kids pick to go to Humboldt. Now they go to SG, Trenton, Milan, or GC.

I would say Westview & Southside will be the early favorites to represent west TN

He has 22 more playoff wins than any other coach in the history of the school, not bad

Do you know his playoff record? I bet he has a winning percentage over .750

I agree, but if they start winning again, these fringe kids will come back to Humboldt. There used to be lots of community pride in that program, no reason it can’t get back to that way.
