  1. NO Where should you base a seeding or SEPERATION of Teams for an Event based on the Previous Years Results. Too many factors decide how things were as compared to how they are at present. You have kids graduate, stope wrestling get injured and all sorts of things for the next years team. WAKE UP TSSAA......Do the right things Finally.
  2. I saw somewhere that the State will hold it's Annual meeting this weekend. But no specifics were given on exact place and times. An update as to where and when the meeting will take place would be appreciated. Thank You.
  3. 100% it should be called and Coaches plus players held accountable. It is a rule and rules are to be followed plain and simple. But they are wanting to be like College and Pro players who do not follow this. Let a kid get a helmet straight to the knee cap and see how soon the law suits and Insurance Policy are upheld do to the neglect of the players and Coaches for lack of administration. Kudos to the Referees who flag the Guilty.
  4. I think you would have to put Waylon Lowe on this 4 time All-American and being 3 X National Champion
  5. I totally Disagree. Nothing in the world wrong with having classifications.
  6. Why not have large and small divisions for Teams and also Individual State? Hey if you really want to divide and throw them all together, the Criteria should be those teams with Feeder Programs either clubs or Middle Schools in one Division and those who do not in another. That makes a lot more since rather than Large and Small Divisions.
  7. Is this the same Rechtorvic from New York who went to Carson Newman???
  8. Cost of Fargo is or should not be a question. Kids can get a sponsor from from the State and get out and get their entire trip paid for by companies but the kid has to be willing to get out and knock on doors. I know several kids in the past that have done this and the trip did not cost them a penny out of pocket.
  9. Well then it is pretty simple. If they dont want to go then dont pay the money and be on a National Trip Team. Stay home save your money and have your food to eat.
  10. He is the Assist coach at Siegel from Michigan. He has served as one of the Coaches on the Mens teams in the Past. I know he Wrestled in the Spartan Last year in Jacksonville and I believe won his Division and followed that up with a Win in Vegas this year at the Open for Greco.
  11. It is a good reason for Wrestlers to go.. They get more bank for the Buck as compared to Individuals. They can possibly pick up 9 regular matches and any Exhibition matches where at Fargo they may only get 2. Great opportunity to Wrestle Quality Matches. Plus only requirement is to have the bare minimum of Competitors,
  12. New Venue to an Old Tournament Jan. 14 2023 The Long Running Mountain Top Tournament at Saint Andrews Sewanee is now going to be a Girls Tournament, The New Boys Tournament is 20 min down the Road at Franklin County High School it is going to be Called The Soggy Bottom Brawl. Hope to get all the past teams of the SAS Mt. Top and also add new ones. Look forward to hearing from Coaches with Interest to coming to the Bottom of the Mountain and Brawl. 931-968-0954 Coaches Office
  13. It could be a decision by Individual School Systems to limit them to miles allowed to travel.
  14. I am not questions their Facilities. I would just like for some kids to get the opportunity to go to a College Campus and see their Facilities and Hope a Wrestling Room. Spark an interest to go and Wrestle for an In-State School. Also the College can get some free Recruiting by having it on their campus.
  15. I would like to see us grow the Sport and Opportunities not limit the numbers. Heck let each level have their own state tournaments and does not have to be at the same location. If you are going to drop the number of participants them make the Site to be on a College Campus that has wrestling we now have 4 Colleges with Programs.
  16. One of the Biggest Blunders I think the TSSAA could make. All these years Finally getting the Large School to a True Double Elimination Format and Full 32 man Bracket, to now drop it to 16. Makes no sense in the world to grow the Sport but limit the numbers. Other sports have more State Qualifiers and Opportunities why cut Wrestling Short????? Since the Private D2 Schools are not going to be attending the State with everyone else, it should go back to a 32 Man Tourny, Do something right for Once and for the kids TSSAA.............
  17. It is a shame that more of TN kids do not do Greco at the National Tournament. You are already there why not stay a couple more days and Wrestle the Mans Sport not sum leg cheater.

  21. You are Required to Qualify for Fargo through your State Tournaments. You can also Utilize your Region Tournaments and this Year they are Wanting All Wrestlers to compete in the Regions that Wrestlers are assigned to., So Tennessee Wrestlers are to Use the South Eastern Region in Jacksonville, Fl.
  22. The Tournament Info needs to be posted here. Much Appreciated. Some school accounts will not let you open Facebook and print off the necessary info. Thanks for your cooperation.
  23. Should cut TSSAA. Take their money and Lawsuit to leave Athletica alone. Work all these years to build up to 32 man bracket and it be true double elimination and now drop it back down.
  24. Sounds like can only check what ya can see. So no tights can be worn for weigh-ins. Just Singlet or 2 piece. Which does not make since for a female to wear an undershirt if she is wearing a 2 piece uniform. Females are gonna be required to be under weight. Uniform the Singlet or 2 piece, Sports bra and full under shirt plus suitable undergarment covering buttocks.
  25. No one bashed it. Just stated that Folkstyle should be Illegal after the State Tourny. Have kids open up to a different type of Wrestling. Makes it much more fun and is exciting especially compared to Folkstyle.
