  1. Hopefully Franklin Co will give Stephen Roberts an opportunity to assist Coach Brewer in baseball.
  2. Rat says he doesn't want to get back into coaching. Mathis said he would take the job at $20,000 a year for 5 years. If you want to beat Tullahoma, hire Stephen Roberts. Brad White wanted Coach Roberts real bad to be his assistant coach for this season.
  3. If Franklin Co wants to win, hire Stephen Roberts. From an umpires point of view, the top 5 coaches in this area are 1.Mark Pickel 2.Jerry Mathis 3. Don Rhoton 4. the late Chris Pickett and 5. Stephen Roberts. Averaged 30 wins a year in his 4 years at Marion Co.
  4. Tullahoma is 1-1 against 7AAA teams this year, winning at Oakland and losing at Smyrna. The Cats hosts two more teams from 7AAA this week. On Monday, its a rematch with Oakland and Tuesday, the Cats host LaVergne. Friday Tullahoma hosts Columbia in their first District 8AAA game.
  5. The score might have been 50-49 instead of 60-59 with the Cats winning. No more than 4pts separated the two teams all night.
  6. The Tullahoma Wildcats opened their season with a road trip to Murfreesboro Oakland. The Patriots had already played 2 games. Tullahoma won the game 60-59. The Cats were led in scoring by Marquel Hickerson with 26pts. Tyson Fishback, Allen Starks and Joseph London did a good job on the boards and the Cats got steady play from Jared Davis and Austin Creasman. Terry Johnson and Tyler Hatfield coached the team to the victory. Head Coach Jeff Taylor, who is recovering from colon cancer, will be back with the team in Jan, 2012. Tullahoma will be playing Friday and Saturday in Woodbury at the Cannon Co Classic.
  7. I've had several people ask me that same question. I have thought about it. I don't have a college degree, but I do have lots of common sense.
  8. If I was a moderator, I would lock this thread. There is nothing to be accomplished here and with the playoffs going on, the focus should be on those games. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.
  9. I could say a lot in this thread, but I won't. I have done some research and found out that there are no PERFECT coaches in the world and I kinda like our staff of IMPERFECT coaches.
  10. All plays are designed to be successful.
  11. I heard nothing but praise from Tullahoma administrative people this morning concerning Centennials coaches and players. They are a class act and your community should be proud. You need to keep this staff together. The future seems bright for your program. If I had to nit pick a little, the numbers on their jerseys were a little hard to see and maybe a new set would be better. Good luck against Lenior City.
  12. Out of 87 projected picks, the final tally for Friday night was 87 correct and 17 wrong.
  13. It was that great spaghetti the team ate at the Gondola Restaurant in Tullahoma on the way to Lynchburg that gave the team the energy to win that close game. LOL
  14. Congratulations to Centennial. I was very impressed with the Cougars defense. Tullahoma has made big plays all season, but couldn't tonite against a very fast Centennial defense. It didn't help that RB Trey Burks didn't play, but Tullahoma QB Jared Davis threw 2 interceptions in the 1st quarter in the Cougars red zone with Tullahoma having a chance to get ahead early. Late in the first half with the Cats trailing 10-0, they opted to try and get one more play with 7.1 sec left in the half and then try a field goal. It backfired and the clock ran out and Tullahoma came up with nothing. The Cougars opened the 2nd half with a long drive that took over 8 minutes off the clock, scored and went up 17-0. Tullahoma couldn't score on their next drive and that was basically the game. Centennial played well on both sides of the ball and didn't make mistakes. There wasn't many penalites in the game. An unlikely match-up in the next game with Centennial hosting Lenior City who upset Columbia on the road. Centennial, a #6 seed, should host Lenior City, a #7 seed. I hate it for the outstanding seniors for Tullahoma to end the season this way, but it was a season to remember. The Cats finish with a 8-3 record. Good luck Centennial against Lenior City next Friday night.
  15. Good luck to Moore Co from a Tullahoma fan.
  16. try malpreps.com and subsitute cal for mal.
  17. When I type in the website, it automatically shows up as unapproved website. The only way to find out I guess is by facebook or a friend. I found that rather strange.
  18. I guess you would have to get the website from a friend. That's how I got it.
  19. Its strange the website shows up as an unapproved website, although I did type it in the message. I just assume the moderators think it might promote gambling on high school football games. That's certainly not my intent, although some low level gambling probably goes on in Pop Warner. Just for the record, my topic was for amusement purposes only.
  20. According the unapproved website, Centennial is picked to beat Tullahoma 22-21.
