Ah, I understand. Yes, I agree. I think it is purely from population though. All these other schools have more people these days. The competition is much better because there are more kids than when we were in school, I think. In 9A alone there are about 6 schools that could beat each other on any given night. However, I do feel the refs these days are nowhere near as skilled as they were back then either and I see more "grudges" held against schools by refs than ever before. Think about some of the teams that has came through MC. We had some great talent and coaching.

I'm affiliated with 9A and I don't think MC should be at the top. MC is a good team with great parents but there are other teams in 9A with just as much talent. It's all about matchups in this district.

Enough with the McCurry bashing. He rurned MC into a powerhouse. He built that place. Who do you think built "The Wall" that use to get painted with championships? He also help mold some great young boys into the men they are today. Look around your community and you will see his influence first hand. I hate it for Jeremy, I really do. I think he should have kept his job. It was the OC who hijacked the MC program. Everyone across the district knew what the problem was. He was gone the first chance he got and left destruction behind. Don't sit on here hiding behind a false moniker and bash folks. McCurry has made mistakes but haven't we all? He taught us discipline, hard work, team work, nothing is impossible, how to fight through adversity, how to lift team mates, how to push team mates, he believed in every one of his teams when no one else did, respect, honor and how to be humble. Greatest coach to ever come through MC in ANY sport and guess what? MC FIRED HIM........Check the record books Pre Mac and Post Mac. Numbers don't lie.

Meanwhile, I know of some Hornets that are quietly building nests in District 9A...........

My personal opinion is that if you are a parent of a player on the team you shouldn't publicly place blame on the other players on that team. Community has dominated everyone in the paint. Maybe, just maybe they have more talent there than other teams.....no ones fault, no bad guard play. They are just the better team. Some teams are better than others and when that is true, it's not the refs fault, it's not the players fault.

Why should MC posts have to only get points off of put backs and rebounds? Maybe if they had the ball actually passed to them more they would score? Another case of passing the blame.

Looks like my prediction was spot on! The "HEART" wins over talent in a lot of cases. Great coaching by some of my ex teammates.

I agree. I didn't question Summertowns heart. I believe MC and Summertown are at different stages in their football programs so comparing the 2 programs isn't fair to either school.

I could care less about WC. What I do know is the hearts of the kids, parents & defensive coordinators in MC. I say they shut it down. Just my opinion.

I don't think its solely the QB. I think it's the entire offensive scheme but I know how the entire community and team players feels about the OC and his QB.

Coaching. It's all about coaching the players. I didn't see any "weak" players on either side.

You would crush me on a court. You are a great player. You have a very bright future but what Gary Wilson Hawkins has done by posting discouraging comments and pictures about other players intentionally fouling you, posting pictures of the refs, sending TSSAA pictures of refs, accusing Huntland of paying referrees off and posting complaint after complaint is wrong. I have not said one negative thing about you. I think you are super player, one of the top five in the district but at some point he has got to stop with the crazy antics. I apologize if this has upset you. I'm sure Gary is a really good guy at heart and wants the best for you. Best of luck, I know you will accomplish great things.

This is my last post on this issue. Here is the real reason why MC gets beat. There is ZERO SHOT DISTRIBUTION!!! All you have to do is stop #25 and MC is beat. Every team, coach, player and fan in 9A basketball knows this. You can't win big games with only one player shooting all the shots! Is there a designed set play to any of the other players on MC's team? Answer: NO! I've yet to see one play ran for the PG or SG or Post. It is all #25 or nothing. She is a good player but without playing team ball MC will be exactly where they are at. Barely making it in. Do your homework and go back and study the past MC teams. If you haven't noticed there are plenty of banners hanging in that gym, all before you arrived. See how those teams won. Ask the Holts, Fannings, Logans, Prices, Kellers, Faulkners, Martins, Thomas', how its done. I will tell you what it looks like to everyone watching the games. It looks like the coach shows extreme favoritism to one certain player. Let me know how that works out in the long run. One more thing, the only thing that needs to be "investigated" is how you guys ended up at a great place like MC! Trust me everyone knows you are NOT "a real MC alumni !"
