  1. Not a problem...Congrats on the victory tonight BTW
  2. The Milan/Camden game was a slugfest. A good defensive stand by Milan late in the 4th quarter lifted the Bulldogs to a victory. Looks like we'll be traveling to Nashville to play Goodpasture next week.
  3. Milan wins 10-6! A good stand deep in Milan's territory lifts the Dawgs to a victory! This was a heckuva game!
  4. Great game to listen to! Wish I could've been there to see the action, but wow what a game!
  5. I agree 100% with what you've said here. It's always great to have pride in your team. And Camden has had a great team over the past, especially since Ward has taken over the program there. He's a great coach BTW! And I commend you for your 20 years of service, I am now following Uncle Sam where he takes me and been doing it for almost 5 years now. So it's been a long time since I've been able to watch my Bulldogs play, but it hasn't kept me from keeping up with them week after week. And as far as Camden beating Milan, if that happens I can almost guarantee that the Milan faithful will back Camden to represent the West this year against the mighty Alcoa. But here's for a great game this coming Friday. Wish I could be there, but from Jacksonville I'll say good luck Bulldogs!
  6. Okay, so if you are originally from Milan you should know why Milan has the pride they have in their football team. Milan fans are not obnoxious, they are just very confident in the Milan football program. I'm sure fans of any team that's always as good as Milan is has fans that show this confidence. And as far as 2-10, I'm not sure we've ever had a record that bad nor will we ever have one...just my opinion
  7. Your freshmen play varsity? Huf, if you would remember Milan started a couple freshman back in '01. I believe these 2 freshman starters were QB #17 George West and HB #32 Rod Smith
  8. This game was not dominated by either team whatsoever. Milan did turn the ball over 4 times, and against a team like Alcoa you have to play a perfect game. I do believe if 3 of those turnovers never happened things could've went a little different than they did. However, as I said in a previous post, coulda, woulda, shoulda doesn't get you anywhere. I will say that Milan held their own against the mighty F5 today and I'm very impressed. And as stated before, congratulations to Alcoa on the win today. Hopefully these 2 teams can play for a 3rd straight year in 2010 No doubt Milan is good and deserved to be there...but like P&G said Alcoa was never threatened. I bet the Alcoa folks dont think they played the perfect game either. The one score on the short drive was really a direct result of a good drive that ended in a fumble and the D got back with an int. So really thats a moot point. Take care of the ball and no short drives for TDs. Give the better defense their due. They helped cause the turnovers. Oh I definitely give the Alcoa D credit, because they do deserve it. When turnovers happen it's usually because the defense caused them. And of the 4 turnovers, Alcoa created 3 of these and turned each turnover into a score. So there's definitely no reason to not give credit to Alcoa's D. They just came out and made the right plays at the right time...
  9. Yeah, you're right about that. It always hurts to get beat, but it hurts even worse to get shut out. This was the first time since playing Memphis Melrose back in '96 that the Dawgs have been shut out

  11. Final Score... Alcoa 21 Milan 0 Stats for the game Total Yards Alcoa 169 Milan 188 Rush Yards Alcoa 169 Milan 88 Pass Yards Alcoa 0 Milan 100 First Downs Alcoa 9 Milan 11 Turnovers Alcoa 1 Milan 4 This game was much closer than the scoreboard indicate. If it weren't for the Dawgs turning the ball over 4 times this could've been a whole different ballgame. But hey, coulda, woulda, shoulda...doesn't change a thing. Alcoa wins another gold ball... Congrats Tornadoes on another great season and for winning your 6th consecutive gold ball. Nothing but respect from this Bulldawg fan Bulldawgs, there is definitely nothing to hang your heads about. You guys dominated all year long and played your hearts out in this state championship game. I can't wait for the 2010 season to kick off so we can start another great year of trash talking
  12. I hardly call 1 substained drive and 2 SHORT field position scores...a reason to be day dreaming..lol. Johnny, are you watching the game on tv??
  13. 3rd and 6, Milan hands off to Avery Williamson for 2 yards. 4th and 4, timeout Bulldawgs...
  14. 3rd and 10, Ryan throws to Vandiver for another Milan first down
  15. 4th and inches, Milan goes for it...Gilbert up the middle, first down Dawgs
