  1. Last year Franklin County ruined Cookeville's 14 straight region victories. Not to mention sucking all of their momentum as they headed into the playoffs. Look for the Cavs to come out swinging.
  2. I say the Cavs have much more depth than MUS. Close, but in the middle of the 2nd the Cavs start to break it wide open
  3. This will be my first time going to the game. Where is the best place to park?
  4. I would say Nikki James and Erin Helton are two of the best. Helton could turn out to be one of the best players in the state her senior year
  5. havent been on here in a while. voted for cookeville cause i gotta support my cavs. Oakland should win, barring any crazy upsets.
  6. The game did not go as i had hoped it would. The Cavs seemed sluggish in everything they did. Several missed tackles on the small and quick running back. Can't really say much about the offense. Although it does look hopeful for next year as the QB and 3 of his 5 receivers on that last drive will be returning next year. Congrats on the Region Cavs, played better this season than most expected.
  7. I think this score is a little bit ridiculous. Sure the Franklin County loss doesn't help my case in saying the game will be closer, but what about the Ooltewah loss should help my point. Ooltewah is ranked what, second in the state and Cookeville lost by 3 points. I'm not saying the game is going to be played by numbers, but it seems the tougher the compitition, the readier (not sure if that is a word) the Cavs come to play.
  8. If Jennings is on the list, I think Dave Thomas of Riverdale should be too. As for just high school careers, I would say that Eric Locke had a pretty good one also, but we won't talk about college careers
  9. I haven't posted in a while, but the playoffs is a special time in my heart. The Cavs didn't play well against Franklin Cty, but also the Colts played terrible against the Titans. The Cavs didn't have any fire in their behind and if that happens again their behind will be sitting on the couch the following friday. Coach J can only do so much to light that fire. The Cavalier seniors need to step up their game in order to put a check in the win column. I do not know anything about Lavergne, so I can't say anything good or bad about them. Although the stat about them not beating a team with a winning record is interesting Region 4 usually has more talent, i will not deny that. But more often than not Region 3 is more competitive, since it does not have powerhouse U of R.
  10. My vote out to Cookeville this week. They played better than expected against Ooltewah.
  11. it was tied at 1 in the first half. cookeville began to play sloppy defense in the second half and the rest is history. good luck to both teams in regions next week
  12. im gonna take the hometown team, cookeville will win 3-2
  13. His name is Pugh, yes he does have a strong arm. I believe he has been moved to an H-Back position and might play a little QB.
  14. I'm really not sure Blackman will ever beat Riverdale..... unless Riverdale's zone switched with Blackman's zone. To where all the Riverdale players become Blackman players and vice versa.
  15. The Cavs should be fun to watch next year. It hurts losing seniors at the skill positions. Several sophmores and juniors from last season played important roles to the team's success. It is going to be tough for the Cavs to repeat, since everyone will be gunning for the top. I think they will have a chance.
