I don't think that it is broke, but I do think that if the profits were spent correctly this could be a great idea. I didn't hear this anywhere, I made it up. I hate the college system, college football should be like college basketball. The reason it would work in HS, 1a, 2a, 3a and so on all have their own championships, along with DII and what I think they should do. You take all the money brought in by the "bowl Games" and the state of TN, does kind of a profit sharing thing, with every school (regardless if they are 10-0 or 0-10, gets a cut of the money. This would eliminate schools like Perry County or schools like them not having the funding that lets say, Ezell Harding gets. And the concessions at these games could pay for most or all or the cost to rent the stadium. I think that lots of people could make money this way. This way teams could buy new equipment, and make repairs to the field, ect; without taking a bite out of the budget. There are I think 7 classifications in Tn from 1A-5A, then the D2 teams, all these conferences having at a bunch of games, would produce some serious cash, plus local tv stations might televise it, there are all kinds of dollar signs around this. Am I wrong>>>

I heard from someone that hs football in TN is in the coming years changing to the college bowl system. I see why the tssaa, and schools would want this. ($$$$$$) You charge at least $6.00 to every game, then every region has a championship game, where the cost will be a little higher. Then you have #1 vs. #2 in every class, then 3 vs. 4, or 3 vs. 5, and so on and so on. And also I heard that All the "so-called" "Bowl" games will be played at Schools that can seat more people, for example the Clinic Bowl (championship) will be in Murfreesboro, and then the other teams would play at like UT-Martin in the west, or play at Lambuth. The point is that the lesser games would be played in College arenas. It is kind of conceivable, but it would mean that the hs would have to have preseason rankings, which would a) print a magazine for the rankings($$$$$) and people on Coacht.com would go nuts about it. IT could be cool I guess, if you are like Dobys-Bennett, or Lewis County, or Cloudland, and you are always good. Has anyone else heard this? Could this work?

We were a dropped TD pass away from beating them 2 yrs ago, but it seems like pc is cursed when we go to jackson to play football. I hope the vikes win, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. Collinwood has the "Trojan Nation".....Lewis County has the whole Panther thing, but what do we have?? They could call us the "Viking Horde"...but it really wouldn't make much sense, if some parents and coaches had it their way Perry County's Nickname would be.... The Perry County Christian Athletes who are always nice the smiley face would be on the jerseys too. PC basketball teams boys and GIRLS especially, go for blood. I never thought that I would rather go to a Girls basketball game than a pc football game,but I really would. Those girls go after it pretty hard, the guys do too. I think the coaches on the football team (gray,laster excluded) should take notice of the BB team, there WINNING TRADITION, and the way they play to WIN. the football team plays not to lose. Anyway good luck to the Vikes, they will need it.

Tiger coach, You were half of the greatest Coaching staff we will ever have, On the sports-blitz (96.5) the guys said that you had a great football mind, but you know that. I know you are comfortable where you are at, but you could be a head coach somewhere, and have great success. Are you going to go to any PC basketball games? I will go to a few of them, I haven't, and will not go to a football game till we have a new coaching staff, I can't support coaches who aren't as smart as Amos. You and I have our differences but I will give you credit you are a great fan, and know alot about the vikings. Joey is your stepson, Joey Could be one of the best defensive linemen, ot Tackles in the State. Todd is the same way, the current losers never pushed him (wampler did). I think that is up to you and joey, to lift and run. I really respect joey's talent, he has one thing you can't teach...SIZE (like todd). Wampler made calls for underclassmen, and upperclassmen to college coaches, and things of that sort, our wayne co. losers, don't do that. I understand that a man has a family and children, but to be a successful coach you need one of two things to be successful in this region.... 1.) To be able to recruit (USJ, JCS, TCA) 2.) Or to be completely in love with your job, I mean Wamp is married and so is Clement, so was Fudd, but they are like me, when it comes to football they have a sickness, we used to practice from 1pm to 7-8pm. When we ran a play, we didn't ask questions, it was instinctive! Now they are done practicing mon thru thurs. by like 3 or maybe 4. That isn't detication, I remember clement and Wampler and Fudd being in the old football office looking at film unitl like 3:00am saturday morning. Then we watched (DISECTED) the film, that is why we won. Joey could be playing for the vols, or at least Lambuth if he hit it hard now, don't expect the coaches to help anybody. One more example is Shannon Rainey, and Hickman. shannon played college football but had to dropout at Cumberland cause of grades, since then he is FASTER (4.3) and is benching 300lbs, and squatting about 350lbs. All on his own. Hickman shattered rushing records at the high school and middle school, but he isn't playing ball. One more...what about wes Waters, he could bench about 350 in hs, now about 400, and he has gotten slimmer, and added muscle weight, and runds a 4.5. He could go to MTSU and Beat out Jonathan Ward in a heartbeat, where is he??? I just think that joey could be something, but my point is, don't let them make his playing decsions, in the offseason help him gety huge, let him dictate his own destiny.
