Camden's new head coach is John Ross Hudson, formerly an assistant at Lexington.

We hope Matt McConnel doesn't leave Camden, but if he does, we will respect the decision he makes for his young family.

Whatever it takes. Most of them deserve a lot more than they make in the first place; especially those who have class loads as well.

Westview officially open. Let's talk about it coaches! Who goes there? Who won't? Who wants to go there? Who wouldn't want to go there?
-
What's going on at Westview? Did their coach get a job somewhere less political?

I can buy that, but Huntingdon really needs to incorporate something of a passing game. Not counting throwing the ball on third down behind the sticks either...just an occasional first & 10, or better yet 2'nd and 2 or 3. If they can just keep the defense from absolutely playing the run on virtually every down, they'll be even more of a threat to score on any snap on offense.
I doubt that at the point they started passing against Riverside that it would have changed the outcome, but looked like it could have changed the final score if they'd just stuck with it because they moved the ball as well as anyone I saw against Riverside with it. Still haven't got a clue why they went away from it when they did.

2024 2A State Champs That's who Huntingdon is. They were closer this year than some realize.

Waited for this moment for over 25 years, the chance to post after a Riverside state championship win. Congratulations to coach Frost and the team. A well deserved win.
When you write for a small town newspaper you’re not only a writer you become a fan and I’m very proud to b a part of this program and community. Great season Panthers and best of luck to the most heralded senior class in Riverside history
I'm glad I got to spend nine years down there with the best students in the world. They are just good, hard working country people. Those kids and that community deserved this big win.

Congratulations to Coach Frost and the Panthers. You have a great coach and a fine man. Don't screw it up like Community did.
Been a long road since the Smyrna Middle school days Frostie. A lot of stops, starts and turns. Everything happens for a reason.
Enjoy the moment. You deserve it.
Frostie can't shock the world anymore.

Congrats to Frost and the Panthers!

I'd like to see Humboldt get back up so there would be a quad of teams from that area that could fight over the kids: Milan, Humboldt, South Gibson, and Peabody. Imagine the rivalries if you had all four in the mix at once.
-
Sorry RHS 80, I didn't see that you had already answered the Frost question.

Where'd he come from?
Frost was at Community High in Unionville (Onionville to some locals there) and Moore County before coming to RHS. It has been discussed here a few years ago that his record does not fairly indicate his coaching skills. He started a program at Community and inherited a mess at Moore Co. His wife was a Riverside graduate and that's how they came here. He got my attention as a great coach after his first season at Riverside when he went to Jackson in the first round of the playoffs and knocked off one of the better private schools in the area.

Goated, and a very tall man, like Lincoln.

The Riverside ball carrier was down on the opening kickoff "fumble." Fairley scooped and scored, and went for 2. Fairley up 8 - 0 with almost no time off the clock. Riverside runner was down, as viewed in person and on film. Bad call for sure, but Riverside didn't get rattled. After that it was 32 - 6. Panthers took care of business over a very athletic team from Memphis.
-
News flash: the best two 2A teams in West TN are Riverside and Huntingdon.

CoachT.com is so early 2000s. Posting anonymously just doesn't work anymore. I think people should have to have their true identity available in order to be able to post, complete with a public email. I know it won't change, so my days on CoachT.com are limited. It's just not fun anymore, the way people just get on to argue with each other and put kids down.

Eyes on Chattanooga.
Been there , done that.
Experience is a good friend to have.
I hope you're right Southtowner. You just never know what you're going to get out of Memphis. Some of those kids are so athletic! I can guarantee one thing though. When that bus pulls out of Memphis and lands in Parsons, they will be totally out of their element. I hope Riverside is ready for them, and think they will be.

Riverside's defense looked much better to me Friday night against Huntingdon. It has been a long time since I've seen Huntingdon's great running game shut down like that.

It must have gotten bad after I went to bed. I didn't see any salt at all.

Riverside representing 6AA hosting Memphis Fairley at Decatur Co. Swamp. Can Riverside take care of business and go back to Chattanooga? Does anybody know anything about Fairley?

That kid is 6'5" and skinny as heck. If he is juicing then someone needs to tell his muscles
The real question here is are you ready to admit you were wrong when you called me a liar about how we paid(didn't actually) for our new turf or are you one of those people?I'll answer you Beagle if and when you pay premium for CoachT.com.
