Sorry but TCA lost by thirty somethin points to west carrol and west carrol had not one. not two, not three, not four, but five turovers. I hope you still don't think This will be close. One more stat for you, West Carrol had nearly 400 yards rushing, think of what it will be when a more ballanced team comes in. Also I am going out on a limb and saying that DCA 's DB's ( which is a team that went to state last year only to lose two starters, one of which wasn't that good) are a little better than TCA's DB's. MAy be wrong but probably not.

Should be a good year for JCS returning QB and returning the O-line and a lot of the D-line. Hpe t be region champs again.

I would say that Northside and USJ will have the best teams around the area. From what Ihave heard about TCA they might do okay this year. I disagree about South Side, they didn't look very good in a scrimage I saw.

I am going to agree with abraham lincoln in saying that evolution can be taught in ways other than "The Big Bang" vs. what I believe, that is creation, also I go to a Church of Christ affiliated school which is a denomination that uses the King James version of the Bible. I am not Church of Christ but all of the teachers are. In our biology classes we study and are taught a form of evolution that is the adaptation of species, which was a theory of Charles Darwin, only the strong survive. Evolution simply means a progressive change which would mean it could be taught in ways other than life coming out of nothing against the Christian belief of ceation. So unless you go to Brentwood Acadamey or know someone who goes you really have no idea what goes on there or what their beliefs are.

Recriuting has been going on for years in Memphis public schools. I emember a few years ago when Germantown got in touble for recruiting a baseball player. A family from the school provided a place to live and even bought themom a new car, if I remember right it was a Caddilac. It goes on in the inner-city schools as well. Coaches will try to get athletes from other distrcts to say the live with a family member in their district. To the question about why Memphis schools seem to not do as well as other parts of the state when it comes to playoffs, I would have to say a lack of discipline.

I don't understand wanting to move to division 2 either. The schools that are there now have been offering financial aid for years and have funds to do so. True most schools have families that will donate towards that if they did move. I go to a 1A private school, next year is my last year so i won't get caught up in it all. One thing that bothers me is it is just people whining about football. When we played Middleton, Greenfield and Halls in football we beat all of them by about forty points then basketball gets here and Middleton beats us 3 out of 4 times, Greenfield beats us in Sub state and Halls makes it to the State tournament. Not one Middleton Basketball player plays footballand comparing the athletic ability of Greenfields basketball and football teams none of them play football either. It's not that the schools don't have athletes, it's that they chose to play a sport other than footballand we have kids like that in our school.

If you look at the West Tn. teams in 1a, then you would see that Temple will probably never dominate. Teams like JCS, Fayette Acadamey and the 2A schools Dresden and McKenzie and the 3A school Adamsville moving down (according to list at the beging of the thread) The state champs will from west tn almost every year.

I think we can finally get a w against Middleton this time.

Yeah man we aren't bashing DCA we respect them. One of the reasons is they have totally different styles of offense. DCA lines up and tries to run it down your throats behind the big line. Fayette runs the option and if you don't pound responsibilties into the players head it could get ugly. It is possible to take them out of their gameplan as far as the option goes but they may line Bodiford up at tailback and he is one of te fastest players I've seen this year.

If you look at the schedules DCA relly doesn't ave tougher schedule. Sure they play CPA and Ezell two very good teams year in and year out. But they have two common opponents JCS and FRA. Both beat FRA pretty bad and both beat JCS by fairly close margins. Fayette played USJ when Ross was there and they were playing as a team. They also play Chester County who were a pretty descent 2 A team this year and Bolivar Central who is 3 A not real good but still a bigger school and some pretty good athletes. If you ask me the schedule is fairly close. Should be a good game but whoever wins should win state. I guess it helps a little to know that the only two teams we lost to are playing for theright to go to the state championship.

CAK doesn't have a prayer against Boyd and if by som miracle they do win they won't beat DCA or Fayette.

Fayette doesn't have too much speed for DCA. Fayette is a little faster but DCA is nowhere near slow. I think this game will be decided on the line. Fayette has a pretty big line Strong Right #62 an o- tackle is huge and he gives great effort on every play. I am going to say this game will be close decide by a touchdown or less. Sorry bout that unbisadspectator I was just pointing out that Fayette will be a tough opponent and not to overlook them.

I know both teams are good. I don't know how DCA has been playing lately, but Fayette has been playing very well since the middle of the year. They are playing pumped up and excited. Unbiaspectator sounds like that guy 4life especially since he blamed the field being wet against JCS for his beloved Wooden not having a good game. Whether Wooden is their or not Fayette will be a tough oponent. But I do think the winner of this game wins state.
