Meigs County High School will host the 17th annual Tiger Classic Softball Tournament on March 17-18 at the Athens, TN Regional Park. Still have openings for 4 more teams. Entry fee is $300.00 and there is a 4 game guarantee. 3 pool games and a gold and silver single elimination bracket. For more information please email Jeff Davis at jeffdavis@meigsgschool.net. Field will be limited to 16 teams. Teams entered so far: Meigs, Sequoyah, McMinn Co., Sequatchie Co., Sale Creek, Hixson, Midway, Silverdale, Carter, Tellico, Copper Basin, and Soddy Daisy.

Three very good ones from Meigs, Rachel Powell, Pam Irwin, and Misty Greene. Trivia: They all played in the 1996 NCAA National Championship game. Powell and Irwin with Georgia and Greene with Tennessee. First of 3 straight rings for Greene.
