Richland is really big up front so that may give MC some problems. It will likely come down to skill guys making plays for both teams. I think MC has the edge but with two hurt at MC that could make a difference.

Cascade wins big in this one!

The freshman class at MC is as talented and athletic if not more than the senior class. The difference is they will have a big experienced line in 2 yrs. As of now #2 is the hope for QB of the future.

I am just curious if being from Moore Co. is a plus or minus for Tipps. Do the "ole" men that came to watch him play feel that they can have some influence or do they give him a break b/c he is a hometown boy? I would hate to feel the pressure he must fell.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH CASCADE!!!!! This team is Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde right now. They are falling fast, and I am just curious as to why. All the top teams in the district have beat them in the last game. They should still make region, but is this the team that is ripe for the upset? I hope they can pull it out.

Two more cents... if I may. I was the one that asked why everyone thinks Coach Landers is so great. I do think he is a fine coach, and he is one of the best in 11a, but how long has he been at Cornersville? How long has the district been down? Where did he come from and what has he done there? Great coaches are defined by championships and teams that do not lay down on their coach. There is one in Shelbyville and one was in Moore Co. last year. I just don't think we can label him one of the best until he consistently wins championships.

Lynchmob, I am not sure how many games you have seen Bunn play this year, but I have seen most of them. No offense to Bunn, but she is not even one of the top 3 posts in the district. There have been numerous games in which the guards could not get the ball down the floor which would limit the touches she gets, but there have also been many games that she had plenty and wouldn't go strong and score. Again, I think Bunn is a fine player but she can not carry a team on her own like a true dominant single A player. For Cascade to have seven wins this season after losing 4 starters and having Bunn return terribly out of shape, and 1 junior on the team is not bad. No, it is not what I would like to see from the girls, but at least they do compete. Give Coach Ferrell some credit for that.

No, I do not mean that the predictions you made were stupid, in fact I enjoy reading them. I just mean that I would be stupid to predict a particular game in which they would win. I do agree the press has give them trouble all year, but they do seem to be handling it a little better. It would really depend on the seating they get come tourney time and whether the guards can handle the pressure and get some points. Just to make the region would be a great step after last year's let down. Other than two years ago, I do not remember the last time they made the region.

Unionvegas, Give my ladies from Cascade a little credit. They took your #2 pick that is improving every game to double overtime last Friday. They led the entire game only to miss 8 freethrows in the fourth that should have put them away. Credit to Forrest for getting the win but Cascade deserves some credit. As for the Moore Co. game yes they are struggling, but again maybe Cascade is getting better. They blew the game at Richland and lost by 4, lost to Eagleville by 2, and we will see how they do against Huntland (who they beat) tomorrow; but the test will be when Cornersville comes to Wartrace. I am not going to be stupid and make a prediction that I in no way control but do not be surprised if these girls knock off one of the top 4.

Cascade better win if they want a shot at the region. A loss could slide them all the way back to 4th place. That is a long way to fall and a 4/5 game will be tough to advance. I realize some other teams would have to win a few more games for this to happen but now is not the time to slump. I think Gallagher has to go inside more and go stronger to the hole. He can not do everything and be expected to carry the team. The guards have to step up.

I realize this is an opinion based poll, but look at the standings as of now. Huntland is in 8th place trying to play their way out of the bottom. I do realize they have beaten Eagleville and Community but why are people jumping them over Cascade. They lost to them. We will find out the answer to my question tomorrow, but to be honest the rankings should be : 1) Richland 2) Moore 3) Cornersville- hey they beat #1 4) Forrest 5) Pick one- They are all equal. They are all beating each other and losing to the top 4.

Nice point Uncle Stimpy. Eagleville has only won three games in a subpar district this year.

Unionvegas or anyone, I won't disagree with the top five but I am curious as to why some think that Cornersville's coach is so great. I realize it is in the blood, but what has he done to truly deserve so much praise? I think he does a good job but best coach in the district or the state may be a stretch. I write this in no way to discredit him. I am just curious...

That is a good point! I think the coach should represent the school in the best manner possible, but if he/she is successful no one will be paying attention to what he/she is wearing. Would you wear a long sleeve or wife beater t-shirt underneath?
