The Battle of Little Germantown...whats better than the two teams playin that live in the same city

Oh Yea"the red" there is alot of hype all around the town. This game is going to be quite exciting and very physical. The talk around town is that Germantown has a new and revitalized offense and there is nothing that the Houston defense will be able to do about. Ive seen both of these two teams play and the only thing that i can say is that this game is up for grabs for the team who can jump the highest and grab it. This game is packed with some of the best athletes in Shelby Metro and the State. Great coaching staffs,trainers,players, and not to mention fans. Germantown's fans have come on late after their rocky start...the houston fans have been here all along. Mustangs have the homefield advantage and thats the reason why i gotta give them the edge defensively. Offensively will be a matter of eating the clock and making things happen. Germantown's wishbone offense has come on strong as of late as well...not to mention the defense. The atmosphere will be historic and the memories of it will live forever. hmmm...what a great night it will be. Whoever wins this game will represent the West proudly.

WOW!!! It's the only word to describe the attitude of the citizens of Germantown and beyond. Mustang Stadium will be in pandemonium before the kickoff. Not to mention prolly the first streaker ever in High School Football last week. These schools have rivaled since the beginning of Houston in 1989. There is alot of respect between these two teams. To be honest I dont think that the first game between these two teams that ended 15 to 14 with a 52 yard field goal by Houston's kicker will have any bearing on the outcome. This will be a hard nosed football game that will be played with alot of excitement and hard hitting. I would like to give houston the edge but I cant give anyone the edge in this game because of the tempers that will surely flare in this one. One thing that i can guarantee is that this game will consist of less than 21 points being scored all together. Not to mention that this game will be the Time Warner Game of the Week(airing on tv). Also an pre estimated count of around 6500+ people are expected to attend. BIG...NO HUGE is the word for this game. This game will be based on who can move the ball on these two powerhouse defenses within the city limits. But whoever wins this game I feel will win the State Championship. The West was sitting in the same postion it was in last year. We were underestimated and Germantown snuck up and bit Franklin and Riverdale in the butt. Hmmm...but who am i. hey dragon and opperman u know i had to drop my two cents. I think that Collierville is going to win this one if they dont underestimate their competition. Like opperman said this team has gotten good over these last few weeks with a close loss to cordova. thats definitely a game that i would not want to be in with seeing their record and possibly getting the big head. Yea i have to agree with you all, this is the best display of defense that i have ever seen, i think they give up like 2.4 points per game. The top defense in the entire state, i just dont understand how a team shut down these offenses. They played some explosive teams throughout the season. I cant wait to see how West Tn does this week in play!!!

The West unlike the East has teams that are very competitive. The west doesnt have 4 teams in on region that are like 6-0 b/c they beat the worst three teams in the area. There are so many good teams up here this year that it is impossible for someone to dominate. In the East you have teams like smyrna who get knocked off like 65-10 but they are ranked liked 3rd in the state. There is some awesome competition up there? Im not taking anything away from Riverdale but some of the teams they have played are awful. They are a very talented team but it wont be as easy as "yall" pansies think. West teams and their strenghts Bolton-great defense and big running offense Cordova-massive lineman with quickeness...pre season all american o-lineman plus one of the top running backs in the city...son of the "X'man" Millington-awesome running attack...average around 350 on the ground Germantown-young linebackers but incredible defense...great rushing game but young qb Houston-incredible big play defense...off and on offense...excellent special teams Collierville-mediocre defense but big play offense with Brian Hall Whitehaven- one of the most athletic teams that you will ever see Now "ooooo's predictions are totally whack...how do u leave a Houston team out of the playoff's who is currently 7-2 and put a 5-4 whitehaven team in...this just shows you that if you dont know what ur talkin bout shut up The last playoff spot in this region is gonna come down to the Collierville Whitehaven game...my pick is whitehaven bc they will force him to be a true qb something that he cant be...if collierville loses they are packing there bags Region 8 Seed 1 Collierville if they when...if they lose Houston Seed 2 Houston... if Collierville wins Seed 3 Germantown Seed 4 White Station Region 7 Seed 1 Cordova Seed 2 Bolton Seed 3 Millington Seed 4 Bartlett Be warned with possible upsets this friday these brackets could totally change but there shouldn't be too many surprises...Good Luck to everyone across the state and dont hesitate to drop a line giving a shout out to ur School The Houston Mustangs or Franklin will upset Riverdale this year...but if its up to us i think it'll stay in the west

Who will win this game between the Mustangs and the Dragons. These are two good teams but the Dragons appear to be outmanned with their one man offense,Brian Hall. Can they find a way to get other people involved in their offense. I think not. I say Houston will not come out cocky and arrogant like word around the city is saying. This will be a great game unless the coach somehow finds a enough money in the boosters to pay off the officials.

I totally disagree. This Collierville team does not have the power to score much on this Houston defense. To be honest i dont think that they will score. This HOuston team is so underrated. I like it that way because they just keep right on sneaking up and biting these teams in the ######. How the heck is Bolton ranked over us in the state when we beat their ######. This forum is so disappointing. You maggots should be ashamed of yourselves. And to say that this would be a high scoring game, i doubt ur knowledge of the game of football. Shut up Gtown Grad. We are tired of hearing your crap. That game had some awful calls favoring Germantown but Houston was able to rally off of them. This Houston team is awesome and every week we plan on LEAVING IT ALL ON THE FIELD. We have a love for each other and the game of football. WE love doing what we do best...having fun. GO MUSTANGS

I am sick and tired of only hearing about Middle TN football teams. There are some good teams up there but not all the dang teams up there are good. All the undefeated teams up there shows how weak most of the teams in the regions are. Look down here in memphis there is only one defeated team, Melrose. Melrose will take the 4A crown. Now look at MUS another good team who will be in the running and also Briarcrest. Houston and Bolton are still two teams down here to be reckoned with. Houston is the top 5A football team in Shelby Metro coming off a huge win over Germantown friday night. We arent getting any respect down here but lets not forget that West TN took the 5A crown last year. This year i think two or 3 teams will bring it back to the West. Now i have to give to Riverdale but i refuse to give it anyone else. Gallatin and Antioch are two extremely overrated teams. Collierville one of our mediocre teams down here in this area lost to Gallatin by a Bullsh$t face mask call on the quarterback who stiff armed on their players to the dirt. Now that the Houston Mustangs have proved the city of Memphis wrong by beating a Bolton team that they were told could not be beaten, Whats Next. Beating a team known as the Red Devils who they haven't beaten in 4 years. I think So. Germantown and Houston are pretty evenly matched this year with a FEW EXCEPTIONS. All i can say is that this will be another barn burner in Germantown friday night as the Devils will drive five minutes to Mustang field. This will be a great game for these two teams.. This will be a great non conference game. But these two teams are high caliber with great offenses. However Houston's defense is ranked high in the area in rush defense. Bolton has a high rushing offense. I will leave this one for the game but leave some feedback.

The Houston Mustangs have started off 3-1 with the only loss coming to a high powered White Station football team that is currently #1 in Memphis. The Spartans had a great first having getting up on the Mustangs 21-0. But the Mustangs battled back to lose 28 to 21. This team has the potential to come back on any team and beat any team in Shelby Metro and beyond this year. No person on this team is a two way starter because of the great depth and personel. This team will come out of region 8-5 this year. They take on a highly raved Bolton Wildcats team next friday that will come fired up with a 5-0 record. But lets not forget his team was beat by the Mustangs last year 41-6. Last year was a rebuilding year with only 5 senior starters. But this year there are approximately 19 senior starters. This Mustangs team this year is powerful. Anyone want to argue this? Just wait till to playoffs.

Oh yea no doubt that this game will be good. Middle Easteners tell me and the rest of the westerners who will be a big key in the game for the warriors. For gtwon there are several, Patterson,Dixon,Kasser,and Cole Gtown's option has always been unstoppable and i dont think that that will change over a one week period. I;m so tired of hearing about them sorry boys from the west who end up playing no one and they get rewarded by going to the playoffs. How can teams within a 20 mile radius not be in the same darn region. Its rediculous. In 5A only 1 team can come from the West. In my mind i think yall know that the middle can hang with the west thats why we are few and far between in the 5A playoffs. Riverdale has been overrated for the last few years and Gtown is fed up of that crap. Prediction Gtown takes Riverdale 21 to 17 Gtown rallies late to comeback and take the small sized warriors who are going to get stomped the same way Lincoln county stomped the offensive line and defensive line the whole game. Its been over twenty years since the last time a team in West Tennesseee has won the 5A state title. But this years Germantown team is quite impressive but as said they are not near as fast as Riverdale's line. They play smart and I think the seniors will win the game for their team. This game is all about experience. Gtown is going to run the option down the throat of the Warriors defense then bust them with the playaction to the tight end. I live in Germantown and play for their crosstown rival. They are extremely beatable but only with a solid offensive line and smart defensive line. If the warriors tackles dont make piles this game could get away from the warriors early. Gtown backs are impressive as well but so are the Warriors. Cant wait to make the trip to see this one. Its gonna be great. Riverdale has the advantage because of the cold as well. So good luck Warriors and good luck Devils. BRING IT HOME TO WEST TN DEVILS

This game goes all the way back to 1994 when Riverdale beat Gtown by 4pts at Gtown to go to the state finals. This is more than a game to these two teams. Even though i'm from Gtown i have to say that this Riverdale team is quite impressive and i have to take the Warriors by 7 over the Red Devils. What a game it will be . I will be there
