    Top 15 RB

Tom, Really, must you beat me to every single ranking on Coacht? I really think that the best group of RB's resides here in BC. (Dustin Lindsey, Chis Shiverdecker, Ryan Tallent) I know that Miller and Guilmire will be special, although I didn't really notice Guilmire at the scrimmage...was he hurt?
  3. Thats a heck of a lot of research from the BC football Guru there Tom. So your saying that the score should be 27-26 Hop town, due to last year?
  4. I hear ya...We wouldn't hear about news like that would we?
  5. What is Riverdale's hardest game this year?
  6. What has happened to my boy Biffle? He seems to have lost that magic touch lately.
  7. I guess Hawkins is a D-1 commit too right Tom?
  8. Why not just re-number the weeks, to avoid confusion?
  9. Will Huntingdon be in position to make it back to the Title game?
  10. No, and I've contributed to a lot of that straying, I'm just saying. . . thumb
  11. Alcoa's D is solid. DE- Might have the best tandem of DE's in the state with Rae Sykes and Brandon Warren. Bobby Keller should be getting some work, but will have to continue to improve. DT- Solid upfront with Martin White, and Mark Avery. Subs include Cody Marsh, Corey Brewer, and Nathan Backus, as well as a few younger players. LB- Extremely talented group, that is very deep. Bart Hicks, Justin Dunkin, Dustin Lindsey, Colton Reid, Darrell Tate, James Stultz, just to name a few. Corners- Alex Green has been, and will continue to be a great cover-corner. He is also very good at coming up and defending the run. The hole left by Richeon Belle will be filled with the JC transfer, Chris Shiverdecker. He is very quick and agile, and plays good coverage. Also helping out will be Randall Cobb, Zach Gerhardt, and Cameron Battles. Safety- Logan Love is a great hitter, and a very smart SS. Kyrus Lankster is quick, and can get on the top of routes with ease most of the time. Backups include Jamar Walker, Brad Blizzard, Sam Thompson and Daniel Sullivan.
  12. And James Rainer has what to do with this year's BC Jamboree? Bump
  13. Alcoa Justin Dunkin 6'0" 190 Bart Hicks 5'10" 240 Dustin Lindsey 6'2" 220 Colton Reid 5'11" 220
  14. 4 plays and now you think you are an expert..... How soon do you forget that this is basically the same defensive front 7 that shut Alcoa down last year. Add depth at LB and the defensive line and there you have Maryville's front seven. I guess you don't know Maryville as well as you think 23. If you think Alcoa runs over Maryville then check out the other teams through the last several years that thought they could run over the Maryville defense. Maybe you need to ask the Oak Ridge players and hear what they had to say regarding the comparison of Alcoa and Maryville. thumb 825716848[/snapback] Come on now....I've always viewed myself as an expert I don't think that Alcoa will be running over Maryville though, I never said that. I just said that we have more depth at RB now, and a more mature QB. Also, our defense has matured and improved greatly.I think it will be a heck of a game. And if you think that ALcoa will be shutout, then you are crazy.
  15. Hopkinsville is the runner-up I believe from their division last year. They have a new coach, which came from a cross county rival to coach them. Other than that, I don't know much. I think that Hunt will have to be especially sharp, but more importantly, the Offensive line will have to perform at at least an A game to give Hunt the chance to be a factor. The biggest challenge will be Alcoa stopping the running game. Maryville has their work cut out for them on D. They basically get to pick their poison: Stop the run and bring the safeties in & let Joei throw it on them, or play cover 2 and let Shivy and Duck run all night. The way they win is by picking the less potent one on that given night.
  16. What will be the keys to the game? From both perspectives?
  17. MLREB, Ya I did...about 4 plays I think... Heard Dad gave you a call. As for the ping pong...your done for... I really believe that this year's Alcoa-Maryville game is going to be a classic, either way. I think that this year and next year are also our best two chances to beat ya'll for at least a couple of years. We'll see though.
  18. MLREB... Come on now, you have reached a new low yourself... Your saying that Tom is the only one bragging (if that is bragging)? He was simply responding to a comment from an ignorant WB fan. Hope your son is alright...tell him we're all wishin him the best this year, except for one game thumb
  19. Coach Reid first of all, was the one last night that was screaming at us to shut up and get on the bus. He would be the last person to cuss anybody besides his own players, ESPECIALLY AN OPPOSING PLAYER. Tom is right, Coach Reid has Alcoa doing the best summer program in the state, and like he reminded us, when people question our coaching staff (Not just him) and our program, just remember that we have worked this hard to get the program in this condition. I don't remember people raving about Alcoa's atheletes after Duck, Brandon, and Joei's first season...
  20. I don't believe in that theory MHS. I think that Alcoa has enough talent to play with any sized team. True, some of our players are forced to play both ways, but Coach Reid handles conditioning well enough to get them prepared. School size shouldn't be an excuse any more. You know what they say about excuses anyway...
  21. Your right...Some how big Rae Sykes slipped my mind. I don't disagree with you about Shivy. He has to work on some slippery fingers first though. He's got talent however, no doubt.
  22. Likewise, I see an Alcoa-Huntingdon rematch.
  23. Actually it will be Justin Dunkin, Hicks and Reid at LB. Sommers will be at corner, and Tate is a LB. Someone else will have to step up and fill the FS position. You can't forget that Shivy will be leading the Tailback's next year, unless DT and Troy really step it up. Quarterback will be in good hands with Randall. He's got an arm, and he's lightning quick. TE will be a hard spot to fill. Look for a battle there next year. As for this year, I'm thinking Alcoa Rockwood \ Sweetwater Contending for 2 Loudon /
  24. Brandon Warren (Alcoa) Early Commit to FSU Ultra-fast DE and all-around TE.
  25. What do you mean by that Rebel Nation? Email me when you get a chance.
