  1. WOW!!! Now that is one impressive list of people!!! There are like three or four respectable people on that list, then a couple of crooked mayors, several basketball players that absolutely could not keep their nose clean (literally). This group of alums that you put together definitely does not help your argument!!
  2. The Rivals Future 150 camp was held in Bolivar, TN last weekend with players from all over the Midwest and Southeast attending. Go to http://www.future150.com to read a synopsis of the camp!
  3. So, are you saying the Bolivar kids were classless? I don't hear that very often!
  4. Papatiger, can you please stop drinking the Bolivar Haterade? I mean, this is like the 7th or 8th thread that I've seen you on in the last 2 weeks downing Bolivar. I know you're mad that we wouldn't put the girls game on the same day as the boys last year, but you're a preacher. Come on man, let the grudge go!
  5. When will this game be played.....Thursday or Friday?
  6. Tre Polk a 6'1" PG from Bolivar is gonna be a very good one. He doesn't get much varsity time because of all the junior and senior guards, but you will definitely see alot of him next year! He averaged around 22 ppg with the freshman/jv squad.
  7. Derrick Favors just committed to Georgia Tech this week. I may be wrong, but I think many people expected him to leave the Atlanta area.
  8. He actually only has a few small NAIA schools looking currently. NO ONE knows about him as hard as that may be to believe. I think he has the skills to play big D1 ball when he fully develops physically, but someone would have to have something open up late as there are not many scholarships left at this point in time.
  9. To the best of my knowledge, both Harvard and Yale are recruiting Mitch as a wide receiver. Also UT Martin and UT Chatt are after him pretty hard. I really feel that if he was more known that he could play at a "bigger" football school. But what an honor to be recruited by two Ivy League schools!! Hey Yankees, what was your impression of Des Crisp? I wrote on here about 3 weeks ago about him, but I didn't know if you got to see that post. He has really come into his own and can at the very least play at a High Mid Major School. Also, I noticed where you wrote about Whitehorn in that same thread. He is getting better everytime he steps on the floor and is loaded with potential. He is a guard but sometimes is not playing that role because he has more to learn. You are right about Jay Murphy and Kendall Anthony. They both had big games and controlled the tempo. Jonathan Hodge showed up in a major way tonight also. Not only the points, but taking his defensive game down low and guarding the post. Im also very impressed with Tarius Johnson. I think his only downfall will be if he doesn't grow anymore.
  10. Oh, and one more thing, Des Crisp is impressing me more and more everytime that I see him. If he gets anywhere near his dad's size (6'8" or so), then he will be unbelievable and a huge steal for whoever sneaks in and gets him. He's still growing, so who knows. His offensive skill set is heads and shoulders above most high school players.
  11. Whitehorn is #22, but he hurt his ankle very early in the Camden game and didn't return.
  12. To the person that said the Cheairs brothers, you nailed it. But far and away Deaderick "Poo Poo" Cheairs takes the cake. I saw him jump off two feet just inside the free throw lane in a game and dunk it. Dude is only like 5'11". He had serious serious explosion. Quite frankly, I think he could jump as well as anyone I've ever seen and that includes Kobe and Jordan and so on. And no, I'm not joking!! If he would've taken basketball more seriously, then there's no telling how good he could've been. But athletically there was no one his equal around West Tennessee. Now to add to that list I have already mentioned Reggie Crisp. Also I would put Marius Transou, Reggie Newbern (I think that's his name: from Southside), Marcus Hicks, Tron Sain, Kedrick Madden, Duke Chatman, and a few others whose names I can't remember.
  13. Yankees, you are so right about Whitehorn. If and when he ever "Gets It", then he will be unbelievable. I would have to put Crisp at number 2 right now, however. He is playing his way into a high mid major scholarship. He is a classic late bloomer and he is still growing (he's pushin 6'4" right now). He can score in so many ways! I also really like the Herndon kid from Camden. He can flat out play and shoot the ball.
