  1. Rocking Chair, There's nothing you don't got to not get defensive about, just cause I wasn't not understanding how your double negatives wasn't not alowing me to not understand nothing about what you weren't not meaning to say. Alright!
  2. Let me clear a few things up here. First of all I have no connection, or bias towards or against any of the AC girls. To attack any of the girls because of my opinions, good or bad is ridiulous, BERT1030. I'm simply making observations, and posting them here. The last thing I intended was to bring undue pressure on a young player, by pointing out what I believe to be outstanding potential. I also don't want to detract from the job being done by the girls playing at the point right now. I do believe that in sports though, evaluation of talent is needed for the team to reach it's potential. One of the things I believe AC struggles with from time to time is up tempo, full court defense, or a quick point guard who likes to "pick pocket". I think this is an area where playing time now, for younger, quicker players, will pay dividends down the road, when it counts. Just my opinion, don't get your undies in a twist!
  3. As an eighth grader Kelsey Leffew, handled the ball, and more importantly, saw the floor better than anybody at AC. She is so fundamentally sound, that she has Laura Hall potential. Got to play her.
  4. AE will be a different team once the football players get up to speed.
  5. The point guard on this team should be a freshman, the sooner they realize this and start playing her, the quicker they move to the next level, and I mean state tournament level.
  6. Sorry to burst bubbles here, but I believe that only one Knoxville area team in any class will go to state this year, and that is Anderson County. I saw them play this weekend, and they are playing as good as any team in the state right now in any class. In A-AA Sullivan Central is clearly the other representative. In AAA Dobyns Bennett, Daniel Boone, Science Hill and Sullivan South will play for the two spots at state. Knoxville AAA are not at their level I don't think. Finally the Knoxville D-II schools, are Webb, and they are down this year. In my opinion, it breaks down this way.
  7. Anderson County is going totally under the radar this year.
  8. Well, well, well. I guess the old Mavs are not as down as even I may have suspected. All you Larry Kerr detractors, must admit he and his coaching staff do one heck of a job getting football teams ready to play football. The greenville fans must have yelled so much at the game, that they lost their voices, even here on coacht!
  9. Don't worry about it cdragonz123, there is an old rule of arguing which says that if you can't win the arguement that your in, make the arguement about something else. That's what these Farragut kids are doing. They didn't win the basketball game, and therefore can't win the arguement about it, so they want to try to argue with you about soccer, baseball, or fans. Don't take the bait, just keep reminding them who the Basketball regional champs are, and you win.
  10. How pathetic you spoiled little rich kids from Farragut are! Lets see is we can get on coacht and out prose the Clinton kids. It is a true sign of weakness when you get beat in basketball ( the sport you've been running your mouth on here all season about ), and then try to find other sports that your better than Clinton in and start posting about how much better you are in that. When Clinton beat you at Clinton, it was the referees. You couldn't wait for a rematch in the region, remember? Now that rematch also went the way of the Dragons, so now it's " we are getting ready for another state championship in soccer and baseball". Grow up and go lick your wounds in your BMW's before soccer practice.
  11. I would agree PfHs, except that at the sectional level there are still alot of games being played all over the state, so we are still mostly talking about the fans of two teams going to these games. If your gym is big enough for big rivals like Gat-Pit or big district games, then what's the difference. Also these "gym size" rules don't apply to district or regional tourneys with multiple teams fans, boys and girls coming, so give me a break. This rule is officious, and wrong. It does nothing but take away an earned advantage for the sake of a few extra dollar bills. This rule is shameful.
  12. The rule stinks! The fact that it was voted on doesn't make the rule any better, those administrators were also wrong. Msgov, I pray that what Georgia does hasn't become the standard we look to for direction, either. The rule which states that the region winner earns the right to host the subsequent sectional game is a good one! If the T$$AA wants bigger gyms, then they should reinvest some of their dollars back into our already poorly funded school systems for gym enlargement, otherwise realize that in this state many schools are doing the best they can with what they've got and play the games where they should be played regardless of gym size. I'm sure Ronnie Carter has told his wife many times that size doesn't matter, well the same applies here.
  13. I know one thing, there is nowhere in this state where more home cookin goes on than at Science Hill. I've seen it first hand, and it's the closest thing to outright cheating I've ever seen. From that perspective, I think Clinton has dodged a huge bullet by earning this game at home. I don't expect Clinton to have too much trouble with up tempo defense, as long as they don't get suckered into making it a track meet, as happened early this year with McMinn. If Clinton controls tempo, and uses there big men as targets and screeners against the press, they'll have no problems there. Overall I expect a tough game, but as I've posted earlier, Clinton knows how to win in these pressure games.
  14. I don't know if this is the best format or not, but everyone knows going in how it works. The district tourney is for seeding in the regional tourney. If you finish in the top 4 in district you move on. The 4 seed is often 0-2 going into the region, and must face the 1 seed from the other district. Now it is win and move on, lose and go home. Same for everybody. No problem for me that Rhea Co. is still playing, like Xtreme said, they won the games they had to win.
