Amen back to you. My oldest son beat the #! ranked wrestler in the state his Senior year on the way to the finals. Very few folks gave him a chance. He was seeded 4th but picked to place 6th. It really is the grapplers mind set, heart and skill in that order IMHO. After he had a bad tourny at Father Ryan he said he was not going to lose another match. That mind set changed his season.

And the Oscar goes to..........................

If he's got the goods he will be in the finals. Many a # 4 has upset the #1.

Since not all teams/parents/fans are not coming in from Montogomery Co can they at least get a interstate Exit to get off at. The site in only helps with directions if you know where Tiny Town and Peachers Mill Road are located I use to live off Peachers Mill so I can find it but it would help others if they could at least get a exit # as a start point for folks coming from south of the county.

The old Region 2 had some good teams that placed in the top 10 at traditional state over the last 8 years. I know Farragut finished 4th one year.

I'm usually not a fan of the 103 wgt class but this region has some great young 103's. They are true Grapplers. Hope to see them make some noise at State.

I think most people liked the UTC venue as far a the physical plant went. I know I did. What I didn't like was the Wed. start dates to the state tournament to make room for some women's basketball games that never materialized and the gestapo security. It seemed obvious to me the UTC folks either didn't really want the state tournament or at the very least took it for granted. The dual tournament in Clarksville simply outgrew the building. Now that the mold is broken and UTC and Clarksville are not the shoo in hosts they were for years there are several areas quite capable of holding either tournament that should be explored. One place that get's my vote, especially for the duals tournament is Freedom hall in Science Hill. I concur 100%

Well we had Greatest Wrestler etc on the board so why not Family? They don't become great wrestlers without their families love and support. Middle TN has to go to the Simpson Family! I was just looking at some Army Wrestling Pictures and thought wow what a family. Providing great young men for the sport of wrestling and support of our country. Go ARMY!
