I'm the radio play by play announcer for Warren County. I just want to express my appreciation for the hospitality shown to us in the press box tonight. The folks at Maryville were very friendly and helpful. I was proud of the way my Pioneers battled tonight. Maryville has a first class program. Glad we got to see it up close. Good luck the rest of the way.
As a radio play by play announcer, My answer is people who think I'm the public address announcer. They enter the booth while I'm calling the game, stick a piece of paper in front of me and loudly ask me to announce over the loud speaker an upcoming fundraiser or lost set of keys. Happens at least once or twice a game.
To answer your question, ELA, Coach Madewell said Dustin Rhea had broken both bones in his ankle. Gotta hate that for the young sophomore. Congrats on the win.
Two years ago when Warren County hosted Cookeville, a sudden downpour drenched the field shortly before the game was to start. The Warren County Sheriffs Department flew their helicopter in to help dry the field, and after a lengthy delay, the game was played. Not something you'll see everyday.

I agree the playoff system has been diluted to get more bucks. Then again, remember last year when a 5-5 Livingston Academy team went on to win a state title. I'm not saying that will happen with CC or WC. But you never know.
