TSSAA Eligibility

Culleoka did not have enough players to field a softball team for the 2007 season. Any Culleoka student wanting to play softball was allowed to transfer to Central HS. Forrest's shortstop presently resides in Maury County, has all year, and attends HS in Marshall County at Forrest. The only important question here is did/do the coach(es) know?

Every practice, every game all season leads up to the ONE game that matters. Your record, your statistics, and your ranking don't mean squatt come tournament day. By the time that day arrives every team must attempt to overcome their injuries, the hype, the heat, the officiating, the fans, and on and on. At the end of that tournament the team that is best able to overcome it all perseveres and is called CHAMPION. Some may believe CBHS played harder, had more talent, and outplayed BGA, but it was BGA that pulled it ALL together, it was BGA that persevered, and it is BGA that deserves and carries the DII STATE CHAMPION title.

The ref in the BGA-CBHS game should not have given the red card. Yellow card yes, but red was way too harsh especially for a championship game.

The winners of Bracket One play Thurs at 6:30 and the winners of Bracket Two play Thurs. at 7p.

Baylor will play the #2 seed from the Middle. Won't know for certain who that will be until late Friday night after the Middle Championship is finally played. btw its 7p at BGA

Yeah, I thought BGA-JPII game was at 5 and the MBA-FRHS game was at 7??????? Anyone else????

Interesting call made during the BGA MBA game last night: BGA was setting up for a corner kick when time ran out for the half, ref blew whistle ending the half and denying the play. Never seen that before.
